A look at the cold and hot pitchers going on Tuesday. I will try to provide some unique pitchers statistics of the probable starters going today…

Pitchers Report for Friday June 26th

Tuesday’s “Need To Know”

A look at the hot and cold pitchers going on Friday. The information you need to know whether it is for fantasy baseball or wagering contests.

Probable Hot Starting Pitchers going on Tuesday:

Dan Haren (Diamondbacks, 6-5 2.25ERA)

Haren lost in his last game despite pitching extremely well. Haren will try to keep the Dbacks from losing a season high five straight games. He has the best ERA in the NL, but his pitching won’t be the question mark on Tuesday night it will be the hitting of the Diamondbacks and they’ll go up against Bronson Arroyo.

Haren is a no brainer in your fantasy leagues obviously I don’t have to say that, but as far as using him in any of those hot streak contests I would stay far away! He simply just does not get the run support and until the Dbacks get hot with the bats stay far away!

Chris Carpenter (Cardinals, 5-2 1.78ERA)

Carpenter pitched during the day last Thursday vs. the Mets and honestly I did not think there was any way the Mets would beat him. He had no hit stuff! His curve ball had great break on it and hitters were going after it in the dirt. Unfortunately he did keep one in the strike zone a little too much and the Mets’ Nick Evans took advantage.

Carpenter will get the start against the Giants and he’ll be motivated after Lincecum’s CG performance last night! Carpenter has been stellar in limited starts at home this year and will likely throw a gem for the home crowd! At home he has a 0.43ERA in 3 GS compared to his 7GS on the road.

Giants hitters are hitting .210 in 63 total AB vs. Carpenter.

Notables – Last 3 Starts!

Cliff Lee (1-0, 1.96ERA)
Ricky Romero (2-0, 2.14ERA)
Josh Johnson (2-0, 2.86ERA)

Probable Cold Pitchers on Tuesday:

Derek Lowe (Braves, 7-6 4.53ERA)

Lowe will be going for a bounce back start here against the Phillies whom he has pitched well against in the past. Lowe lasted only 3 innings against the Yankees last time out giving up 11H 8R 6ER.

Bet at 5Dimes

He has to be happy that he is no longer in the AL east as he has pitched his worst over the last three games where he ironically faced the AL east. Tonight he will face a Phillies team that he has dominated in the past. The Phillies are also struggling to hit right now vs. RHP .220 average 2.62 runs per 9 last 5 vs. RHP.

Lowe is 5-0 with a 2.14ERA in his last 7 starts vs. the Phillies.

Rich Hill (Orioles, 3-2 6.03ERA )

Hill will have to contend with the hot Braves on Tuesday and he will match up with a future Hall of Famer in John Smoltz. He had a rough time last time out as he gave up 8H in just 4.1IP of an 11-3 loss to the Marlins.

The problem for Hill is pitching late into games as he has pitched more than six innings twice this year. He has never faced Boston in his career which could be a good thing if Boston was not playing so well.

Notables – Last 3 Starts!

Ted Lilly (0-1, 5.03ERA)
Clayton Richard (0-0, 5.11 ERA)
