Game Preview for June 8, 2010: Toronto Blue Jays @ Tampa Bay Rays

This first game of a three game series between the Rays and Jays will determine if the Blue Jays can kick-start their season, or if they are headed back to the AL East basement yet again.

The Rays are putting Jeff Niemann on the mound for this series opener. Niemann is 5-0 this season, but the last time he pitched was against the Blue Jays and he gave up two home runs.
If the Jays can get base runners on base when they bring out the power, then they can outscore the Rays.
Brian Tallet takes the mound for the Blue Jays, and his last start was against the Rays. He allowed no runs over 5 2/3 innings. The Jays have the right guy on the mound and are facing a pitcher they have had success against recently.
