Ryan Rowland-Smith hasn’t come close to matching his effective 2009 numbers; he’s winless over six starts and he’s walking far too many batters.
And his ugly 6.21 ERA is even worse considering he’s faced Oakland twice and Kansas City once.
Rowland-Smith’s one decent outing did, however, come against the Tigers last month, when he allowed two earned runs over six innings.
Maybe he’ll pitch with more confidence on Wednesday as a result? 
It’s not like he has to do much to top the nightmarish Brad Bergesen.
He was effective for Baltimore last year but has been lit up like a Christmas tree in 2010. 7.36 ERA? .343 opponents average?
Six homers allowed in 22 innings? Don’t bet on the Baltimore.
