Dating back to last season, he’s allowed three runs or fewer in 30 of his last 32 starts. Unbelievable. Nobody hits this guy; opponents bat .201 off him this year.
He hasn’t faced the Dodgers this season but is 2-2 with a 3.13 ERA in his career against them. Some Dodgers have succeeded against him in the past, like Ronnie Belliard (.400 against Wainwright), Rafael Furcal (.438) and Russell Martin (.500).
There’s no denying Clayton Kershaw’s stellar arsenal – his 80 strikeouts in 70.2 innings are the proof – but he’s still an adventure at times.
After dominating in his last four May starts, Kershaw has labored a bit.
He’s allowed five earned runs in 11.2 innings, walking nine and striking out 17 in a real mixed-bag performance over his last two starts. 
Kershaw has never lost to the Cardinals over four starts (1-0, 1.82 ERA). But maybe that will change tonight.
His command isn’t at its best right this second and Wainwright just seems so untouchable.
I’d stick with him.
