The Yankees sit in the third place in the crowded AL East standings, but they are only a couple games from the bottom of the division after last night’s loss.
The Bronx Bombers offense hasn’t been consistent of late, and it has hurt the team. New York was shut down by Dan Haren last night.

Ervin Santana has had a lot of bad luck this year. The Angels offense simply hasn’t hit the ball at all for him. The Angels are 3-11 in Santana’s last 14 starts. Still, Santana has a brilliant 2.89 ERA in his last three starts, and he seems to be rounding into form.
The biggest problem for the Angels in 2012 has been the offense. Over the last couple weeks, Albert Pujols has really turned it on and that has given the offense a major boost.
Mark Trumbo leads the team with a .338 average and nine homers this year. Mike Trout is proving to be a terrific leadoff hitter for the Angels.
The Angels are 1-6 in Santana’s last 7 starts against the Yankees.
I think the value is with the underdog in this one.
