The Yankees (11-8) lost two of three to Tampa Bay over the weekend, allowing 27 runs in the first two games before grabbing a 5-1 victory in extra innings on Sunday.
New York still remains atop the AL East however, despite their recent setbacks, and are 6-3 at home and 7-3 in their last 10 games.
Offensively, the Yankees are hitting .265, with ex-Red Sox center fielder Jacoby Ellsbury leading the way, hitting .338.

The Red Sox already got a chance to play against Ellsbury when they visited the Yankees earlier this month, with the two-time World Series champion clubbing five hits against his former employer, as New York took three of four at home from April 10-13.
Meanwhile, Boston (9-11) is 4-6 at home, and 5-5 in its last 10 games, and trail the Yankees by 2.5 games in the American League East standings.

Last weekend the Red Sox split a four-game set with the Baltimore Orioles, behind another solid effort from second baseman Dustin Pedroia, who is 6-for-11 with four doubles in his last three games.
Pedroia leads the Sox, who are hitting .234, hitting .275 all by himself.
Pitching wise, Boston boasts and ERA of 3.70 with its starters at 4.53 and the bullpen at 2.20.
For game one against the Yankees the Sox will start 30-year-old Jon Lester who has won his last two starts and on the season and has allowed 26 hits and only seven runs while striking out 29.
The lefty beat the Yankees in his previous start, surrendering just two runs on six hits in 6 2/3 innings of work.
New York will counter with Masahiro Tanaka, who has won both of his prior decisions and is atop the Yankees pitching staff, which has an ERA of 4.21 with the starters at 4.03 and the bullpen at 4.58.
The right-hander has not faced Boston as of yet in his young career, and has allowed 15 hits and five runs while striking out 28, in his only two starts this season.
