Miami’s struggles on the road continued as its pitching fell apart against the Dodgers, who tagged starter Tom Koehler with four runs on six hits and five walks in just 3 2/3innings, while reliever Henry Rodriguez was charged with two runs on a pair of hits and another four free passes.

LA’s offense exploded for 10 hits and walked a season-high 10 times, with Yasiel Puig leading the way with a three run homer and four RBIs.

The Marlins did however, rack up eight hits of their own, with Christian Yelich and Reed Johnson both going yard, while Giancarlo Stanton drove in a pair off LA starter Dan Haren, who hurled seven strong innings with three runs on seven hits.

Slumping Los Angeles (20-19) will aim to keep their mini streak alive, after wining just their fourth in 11 contests, sending veteran Josh Beckett to the mound in game two. The lefty is 0-1 in six starts with a 2.80 ERA with 25 hits allowed over 35.1 innings of work.

The 33-year-old is 0-2, with a 5.27 ERA in two career starts against the Marlins.

Miami meanwhile, will counter with youngster Jacob Turner, who will look to replicate his last outing when he beat San Diego 3-1, surrendering just one run on five hits spread out over six innings.

The 22-year-old is still coming into his own in just his third start because of injury and has no decisions in three starts this season. He has faced the Dodgers just one other time in his career, giving up six earned runs on nine hits in six inning on the mound.

Matt’s Free Prediction: Dodgers –

Because of Turner’s limited starts, he is a relative unknown, while Beckett has been outstanding so far this season.

Mix in the Dodgers potent lineup, and this one should go to the home team.
