Toronto (16-13) will counter with unbeaten ace Ricky Romero. The southpaw has dominated the Athletics during his career going 4-0 with a 1.49 ERA and 0.94 WHIP in five career starts against them. The 27-year old also threw a complete-game shutout against them in his last visit to Oakland.
However, Romero is fresh off his worst outing after surrendering five runs to Texas, but still managed to work eight innings for the third time in six starts in an 11-5 win over Texas.
