Meanwhile, the Angels arrived at Dodger Stadium coming of a three-game sweep at Colorado over the weekend, raising their current total of road wins to nine, the team’s longest road winning streak since a franchise-best 11-games back in 1988.

Mike Trout, Torii Hunter and Albert Pujols hit a combined .548 (23 for 42) with 16 RBIs in the Rockies series, and will now look to help their club gain ground on the Texas Rangers who lead the AL West by a three games as of Monday.

Another player looking to extend the Halos’ winning ways will be cleanup hitter Mark Trumbo.

He’s entered the series batting .357 with eight homers and 20 RBIs in the last 14 games after hitting two three-run shots on Sunday.

Looking to contain the Angels bats will be Aaron Harang.

The 34-year old right-hander survived a miserable start Thursday against the Phillies to walk away with his fifth win of the season in an 8-3 victory. It was also Harang’s 100th game of his career. He has now won his last two starts and four of six. [dfads params=’groups=10&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]

The 2006 NL Strike out Leader will return to the hill Tuesday against the Angels, a team that has yet to face this season, and is 0-1 with a 21.60 ERA in one appearance lifetime.

Starting opposite of Harang will be veteran Jerome Williams.

The 30-yer old righty was roughed up a bit on Wednesday against the Mariners. He allowed seven runs (five earned) on nine hits over 5 2/3 innings in the 8-6 loss.

Williams allowed more than three earned runs in a start for the first time since May 11 in that game, and endured his second shortest outing of the season. He now has a 48-to-20 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 71 2/3 innings. After a resurgent campaign a year ago, the 30-year-old is proving his worth however, and is 2-2 lifetime against the Dodgers in four starts with an ERA of 4.64.

The Dodgers, though, haven’t had much fun in this series since the start of 2010, losing nine of 12, including five of six at home.

Matt’s Free Prediction: Dodgers– Harang has not faired very well against the Angels, and in just 2/3 innings pitched in 2003, was rocked for seven hits and four earned runs.

However, that was a much different line up.

This is going to be a good game, with both teams coming in hot. But I have to go with the Dodgers in this based solely on Williams’ recent performance in Seattle.
