The Rays will look to make it four in a row against the White Sox this season when they play Game 2 of a three-game series in Chicago on Tuesday night.
Rays
Tampa Bay goes for its third straight victory overall while climbing back to the .500 mark this season, still two games out of the final AL wildcard spot.

The Rays barely squeaked out a win in a 5-4 Game 1 finish on Mikie Mahtook’s go-ahead RBI single in the eighth inning. Evan Longoria posted three hits for the second time in four games in that one.

The Rays will hand the ball to starter Chris Archer (9-8, 2.54 ERA) to keep things rolling.
The right hander won six straight, but is winless in his last six games, even though he has limited batters to two or fewer runs in four of those outings. Archer is 1-0 with a 4.64 ERA in four career appearances against Chicago, allowing three runs over seven innings in a no-decision against the them on June 13 during a 5-4 Tampa Bay victory.
White Sox
The White Sox have been won their last two and have homered a19 times in their last 12 outings. Second baseman Carlos Sanchez had no homers nearly 90 game in 2015, but has hit three in his last 10 outings, including a homer in the series opener on Monday.
The win pulled the White Sox to within 3.5 games of the final AL wild card playoff spot.
They will look to extend their two-game win streak by sending American League All-Star Chris Sale (9-6, 3.20) to the mound in Game 2. The lefty is coming off one of his worst turns of the season , giving up seven runs over five innings at Boston.

After a hot start, Sales is 3-4 in his last nine starts, including a loss at Tampa Bay on June 14. He is 2-3 in seven career games with a 3.48 ERA against the Rays.
