Colorado
They are the top offensive club in the Majors leading in runs, homers, BA and OPS with Troy Tulowitzki off to a tremendous start and backed up by surprising OF Charlie Blackmon.
As long as these guys and others keep mashing the way that they have there is no reason that Colorado can not keep up their current pace and compete in the NL West

Lefty Jorge De La Rosa is still trying to find the form that he has last year when he enjoyed his best season in the Big Leagues. He might be coming around though because when you look at his game logs you can see that he was terrible in his first three starts but has been more than goood enough to win with since.

He is always better at Coors than on the road though so don’t jump on him too quicklly.
Texas
The Rangers are getting back home hoping that some home cooking will be the recipe for success after getting whooped up in Denver.
This team has been pretty streaky this season looking great and terrible for stretches. I think part of their streakiness has been due to injuries but they have their best lineup going right now with Shin Soo-Choo raking at the top. This team can hit but is having a major power outage right now.
The combination of Adrian Beltre and Prince Fielder has only 3 homers and they are 28th in dingers.
Colby Lewis has been just OK so far.
The Rangers are counting on him to provide a veteran presence in the rotation and even though he is taking the ball regularly he is not going deep into game the way they would like – he has yet to pitch 6IP all season long. Things won’t get any easier facing a very good Rockies lineup.
He is giving up too many hits but is not giving up too many free passes.
They need him to get sharper as the season progresses.
I think that the Rox can continue their mastery of the Rangers behind De La Rosa. Look for another game that cruises over the total but this time with Texas making a stronger contribution.
Their bats have to start coming alive, especially Beltre, makybe seeing a lefty will break him out of his current funk.
