The current favorites for this race are as follows:

The current favorites for this race are as follows:

  1. Cowboy Cal: He earned an automatic bid for the Mile with a win in the Grade 2 Oak Tree Mile at Santa Anita in mid October. He has now won three stakes races in a row at Santa Anita which should make him one of the favorites for this race.
  2. Court Vision: With a win in the Grade 1 Shadwell Turf Mile at Keeneland he earned a berth in the Mile. It was his first run since undergoing surgery for an ascended testicle that had hampered his past performances.
  3. Zacinto: This horse has never finished worse than third in his first five starts and a second place finish in the Group 1 Queen Elizabeth II Stakes at Ascot to BC Classic hopeful Rip Van Winkle makes him a legitimate contender for the Mile.
  4. Gladiatorus: This horse spent the winter racing in Dubai and had three impressive wins. With a victory in the Group 1 Premio Vittorio di Capua at the San Siro course in Italy he will be one to watch in the Mile.
  5. Courageous Cat: With three wins in a row, including a 1 ¾ length win over Sal The Barber in the Hall of Fame Stakes at Saratoga in his last outing, this horse is well positioned for a strong showing in the Mile.

Predicted order of finish for The Mile:

Win– Cowboy Cal

Place– Zacinto

Show– Courageous Cat
