The current favorites for this race are as follows:

  1. Bay to Bay: She earned an automatic bid for this race with a win in the Grade 3 Natalma Stakes at Woodbine. In her last start she placed in the Mazarine Stakes also at Woodbine.
  2. Habaayeb: With a win at the Meon Valley Stud Fillies Mile at Ascot she earned an automatic bid for the Juvenile Fillies Turf. Running in third position from the start, she edged out Lady Darshaan for the win.
  3. Termagant: Racing from Ireland, she earned a bid with a win in the Group1 Moyglare Stud Stakes at Curragh as a 16-1 long shot. It is still questionable whether or not she will make the overseas trip to run in this race.
  4. Junia Tepzia: This undefeated Irish bred filly that races out of Germany should be a strong contender for this race. Both her wins this year came on firm tracks in Italy which have been described as very similar to the conditions at Santa Anita.
  5. Lisa’s Kitten: In September, she won her first race, a Maiden Special Weight race at Belmont. With a poor start, she rallied from last place with incredible closing speed to pull off the win.

Predicted order of finish for the Juvenile Fillies Turf:

Win – Bay to Bay

Place – Junia Tepzia

Show – Lisa’s Kitten
