She returns to her preferred surface, the turf, where she has 3 wins out of 6 second place finishes. She’s a cheaply bred daughter of Stage Colony, but there’s no denying her class on the turf and the online wagering odds are very nice. Trainer Mike Burgess is winning at 17% at the meet. More importantly, he’s 22% dirt to turf and Love to Tell will be going into this off of a terrific work on Nov. 24th. She’s won at this mile distance on the turf. She’s a cheapie but the purse is only $60,000.
My Baby Baby – – 9/2 online betting odds
She’s dropping out of graded stakes races to run in this low level stakes. That should be a huge red flag for online racebook fans. But she is trained by Kenny McPeek and her jockey, Robbie Albarado, sure knows how to bring them home at the Fairgrounds. She’s the class, but I can’t help but think this is some sort of prep for down the road and her online odds will be low.
Scolara – – 5/2 online betting odds
Like My Baby Baby, Scolara is coming out of two graded races. She gets the services of Patrick Valenzuela who happens to be a hall-of-famer who used to ride in SoCal. P. Val has had his issues but he’s still one of the best jockeys in the world. He will have Scolara in good position but trainer Bill Mott usually won’t waste his talented stock in minor stakes races. It looks like they’re prepping her to me.
Wagering Strategy
Love to Tell is an excellent online horse bet to win and place if she keeps her online odds. I will make an online bet on her at 6 to 1 or higher. Scolara and My Baby Baby are both worth throwing into the exacta and trifecta box.
