NFL Week 15 Wagering – Tennessee Titans vs. Houston Texans

Two of the hottest teams in the NFL hook up in the Lone Star State, and BetUS will be there to cover all of the great action between the Tennessee Titans (12-1, 11-2 ATS) and the Houston Texans (6-7, 6-7 ATS). Earlier this season, the Titans destroyed Houston 31-12 in Nashville.

Tennessee has owned this series since the Texans joined the league in 2002, going 11-2 SU and 8-5 ATS. The online betting proceedings have all been in favor of the Titans since 2006, as they are a perfect 5-0 SU and ATS in that stretch, and they’ve outscored the Texans by a combined score of 151-110. All five games went over the closing ‘total’.

With the perennially powerful Colts and Jaguars and the up and coming Texans in their division, few football betting fans saw this one coming. The Titans wrapped up the AFC South by virtue of their 28-9 victory over the Browns in Week 14 betting action.

It wasn’t a work of art, but QB Kerry Collins completed 14 of 23 passes for 155 yards and two scores with two picks. The story was the running game though, as both RBs Chris Johnson and LenDale White went over 100 yards for the second straight week. The duo combined to tote the rock 43 times for 235 yards and two scores. No rushing pair has been as effective as Johnson and White, as they have run the ball 392 times for 1,768 yards and 22 touchdowns this season.

The defense has been equally effective, ranking in the Top-10 in the NFL in total yards allowed (273.8, 3rd), passing yards allowed (181.4, 3rd), rushing yards allowed (92.4, 8th) and points allowed (14.2, 1st). The unit hasn’t given up a touchdown in over six quarters.

In spite of being 6-7 this season, if the Texans had a healthy Matt Schaub for the entire season the team would likely have at least eight wins and would be in the thick of the playoff race. Ask Green Bay just how good this Houston team is.

On Sunday, Schaub threw for 414 yards, leading Houston to a 24-21 upset victory as seven point road underdogs on the closing NFL betting line. RB Steve Slaton ran for 120 yards on 26 carries, and became the second Texans running back in team history to reach the 1,000-yard plateau for a season. In seven starts that Schaub completed this year, he has averaged a whopping 329.1 yards per game, the best for any starter in the NFL.

Houston bettors have cashed winning tickets in four straight games. After the over cashed at a 10:1 clip to start the year, three straight Texans games have gone under the ‘total’.

The oddsmakers aren’t sleeping on Houston’s ability to win this game, as they have only installed the hosts as 3-point underdogs in this NFL betting match-up, with the ‘total’ coming in at 44.

Whether you prefer betting on sides, ‘totals’, or moneylines, BetUS is your home for all of the great football betting action
