NFL Week 15 Gambling – Pittsburgh Steelers @ Baltimore Ravens

First place in the hotly contested AFC North and a possible first round bye will be on the line this Sunday afternoon when the Pittsburgh Steelers (10-3 SU, 7-6 ATS) travel to Baltimore to face the division rival Ravens (9-4 SU, 10-3 ATS).

The Steelers are coming off of a miracle come from behind win against the Cowboys last week where they scored 17 unanswered points in the final six minutes for a 20-13 online betting win. Meanwhile, the Ravens are coming off of a big win of their own, a 24-10 manhandling of the Redskins that was an easy cover against the NFL gambling odds.

Last Sunday, the Steelers offense sputtered to gain just 236 yards and fumbled twice against the aggressive Cowboys defense, but Steelers bettors were saved by their defense once again as they answered the bell in the closing minutes. Pittsburgh’s stop unit came up huge, holding its 13th straight opponent to under 300 total yards of offense while also forcing the explosive Dallas offense to turn it over five times. If that wasn’t enough, with the score tied at 13 and under two minutes remaining, CB Deshea Townsend picked off an errant Romo pass and returned it to the house for a touchdown to put the Steelers on top for good.

In the game, all-time Steelers leading WR Hines Ward had one of the worst professional games of his long career, only catching one pass for two yards. With the win, the Steelers have now won four straight games SU and have won three straight against the closing NFL line.

Very few thought that the Ravens would be able to challenge for a division title this year with a rookie quarterback and a new head coach, but the Ravens have surprised NFL bettors and currently find themselves tied for the second-best ATS record in the NFL. Much like the Steelers, the Ravens are also getting it done with defense as evidenced Sunday night against the Redskins.

In the win, perennial Pro Bowl safety Ed Reed had a monster game, forcing a fumble and returning it for a touchdown and also making two key interceptions allowing Baltimore to pull out the home win and cover. Over the last two months, the Ravens have been on fire, going 7-1 SU and 7-1 for pro football gamblers against the pro football betting odds during this timeframe. Entering this match-up, the Ravens will be looking to avenge an earlier 23-20 loss to the Steelers at Heinz Field.

Some betting trends to know for this game include that Pittsburgh is 4-0 ATS in its last four games away from Heinz Field, the Ravens are 9-4 ATS in their last 13 games in the month of December, and Baltimore is 6-1 ATS for Ravens bettors in its last seven games against the Steelers.

NFL betting lines show the Ravens as a two-point home favorite in this AFC North sports betting affair with a game ‘total’ of 34.5 points.
