Week 7 CFB Moneyline – Straight Up Picks

College football week 7 football straight up selections from the best sports handicappers in the world at CappersPicks.com

NCAA  College Football Week 7 Moneylines!

A good Florida bounce-back led helped me get to two wins but with Colorado and North Texas laying down, the week is awash with a 2-2 record. Let’s try to keep it positive in Week 7.

Record: 15-7 (-1.85 units)

Idaho Vandals @ Fresno State Bulldogs (-6000)

After a rough early season schedule, the Bulldogs finally had a nice and easy cupcake as the Hawaii Warriors came to visit last Saturday night. Hawaii, one of the worst-travelling teams in the nation, didn’t play the perfect game but took advantage of six Bulldogs turnovers and blocked a couple of field goals to escape with a three-point overtime win.

For a second week in a row, the Bulldogs play one of the worst teams in the country at home but expect a much more focused, mistake-free effort and a lopsided win.

Pick: Fresno State (-6000)

Vanderbilt Commodores @ Mississippi State Bulldogs (+115)

The Vanderbilt Commodores have been one of the biggest surprises this season. They are 5-0 overall and 3-0 in the SEC after their regular season win total was set at only three wins.

But now the Commodores are in unfamiliar territory. They are a road favorite on the SEC but they’ve only been a road favorite of three points or less just three times since 1992.

Mississippi State has struggled this year but they are still a defensive team and a good home team. They are 3-1 both against the spread and straight up in the last four meetings in this series.

Pick: Mississippi State +115

Purdue Boilermakers @ Ohio State Buckeyes (-1000)

The Purdue Boilermakers aren’t a team that travels well. They’ve won only 31 of their last 82 road games and now they have to face a resurgent Ohio State team, which looks like it is again poised to be among the best in the Big Ten.

Since freshman sensation Terrell Pryor took over, the Buckeyes have rallied around their young quarterback and made him very comfortable in his role. He has quickly become a leader of this veteran team, which isn’t easy to do as a freshman.

The Buckeyes have won the last five meetings straight up and covered four of them. Saturday will be no different.

Pick: Ohio State -1000

Arizona Wildcats @ Stanford Cardinal (+230)

The Arizona Wildcats have been more up and down than their 4-1 record indicates and so far in the Pac 10, they’ve faced UCLA and Washington State: two of the weakest teams in the conference. Arizona has a horrid defense as evidenced by their road loss at New Mexico State.

Arizona is 5-1 against the spread in the last five meetings at Stanford but this is a new Cardinal team. Head coach Jim Harbaugh has made them into a scrappy unit. They are 3-3 on the year but it is a bit misleading because they have played four road games and only two home games. They’ve won both their home games including a contest against Oregon State, who some people perceive to be as good as the Wildcats.

Look for Stanford to piece together a much better effort than last week. They only fell short by a touchdown in South Bend but they turned the ball over several times in the first half and handed Notre Dame a big lead.

Pick: Stanford +230
