Cappers Jayhawks vs. Tigers Betting Trends + Pick

In Week 14 CFB betting action the Kansas Jayhawks play the Missouri Tigers this week, we preview and pick this matchup…

Big 12 Showdown Features Kansas at Missouri

The Kansas Jayhawks (6-5 SU, 5-5 ATS, 6-4 O/U) have dropped two straight games in the BetUS Sportsbook and four of five overall after a promising 4-1 start to the 2008-09 campaign. The Missouri Tigers (9-2 SU, 5-5 ATS, 5-5 O/U) have won four straight and look to extend their winning streak with another victory this week.

Both teams will look to pick up a victory when they battle at Memorial Stadium on Saturday.

The Jayhawks were routed at home last week, falling to Texas 35-7. While quarterback Todd Reesing had a decent game, going 25-of-50 for 258 yards and one touchdown, the Jayhawks were held to just 47 total rushing yards. To add injury to insult, the Jayhawks failed to cover the spread as a 14-point home underdog.

“It was a lot of fun playing against those guys and having a lot of family and friends up,” said Reesing who hails from Austin, Texas. “You wish you could have had a better performance. But I played as hard as I could and did the best I could.”

Missouri rolled over Iowa State 52-20 despite being on the road, to cover the spread as a 27-point road favorite. Quarterback Chase Daniel completed 32 of 4- passes for 328 yards with two touchdowns and one interception, hooking up with wide receiver Jeremy Maclin eight times for 103 yards and one touchdown

“We reached this plateau last year, and we don’t want this to be a plateau for us. We want to keep going,” Daniel said. “We’ve got to focus on Kansas, and then whoever comes out of the Big 12 South circus is going to play us, so we’ll see what happens.”

“I knew the senior leadership on this team would step up and we would play to the best of our ability and get this team going,” Daniel added. “Why stop now?”

Here is a look at the key betting trends for each team, followed by my in-depth analysis and NCAAF sports betting free picks:

The total has gone OVER in 5 of Kansas’s last 6 games on the road
The total has gone OVER in 4 of Kansas’s last 5 games
Kansas is 7-2 ATS in its last 9 games on the road
Kansas is 18-6 SU in its last 24 games
Missouri is 22-3 SU in its last 25 games at home
Missouri is 16-3 SU in its last 19 games
The total has gone UNDER in 4 of Missouri’s last 5 games at home
The total has gone UNDER in 4 of Missouri’s last 6 games

NCAAF Odds

Kansas +14 -110
Missouri -14 -110

Analysis: This line may look a bit high, but I say don’t worry about it as the Missouri Tigers are going to win this game going away. The Kansas Jayhawks aren’t the same team they were last season, but the Tigers are as explosive as ever with Chase Daniel leading them.
