NCAAF Week 9 Moneylines!

Virginia Tech looked like a live dog but couldn’t get it done. Combined with a Missouri blowout, the weekend ended even-steven. Let’s keep it going this week:

Record: 21-9 (+3.6 units)

Kentucky Wildcats @ Florida Gators (-3000)

Kentucky has a good defense but unfortunately a lot of their parts will be missing this week. If they were completely healthy, they would have a minor chance at an upset if Florida looked past them but with players hurting, they will be in very tough.

Florida has already had a letdown game at home in their loss to Ole Miss and they won’t take Kentucky lightly. With the Gators offense finding it’s rhythm, they are the play in this game.

Pick: Florida -3000

Wake Forest Demon Deacons (+115) @ Miami Hurricanes

Wake Forest took a tumble last weekend at the hands of Maryland and now head to Miami for its second consecutive road game.

The Hurricanes picked up a big win against Duke last week but they are still struggling to move the ball on offense. The Deamon Decons are an underdog in Miami and as is the norm for Jim Grobe’s team, they seem to play well when they are least expected to.

The Demon Deacons are the better squad and although it will be a dogfight, they have a good chance to come away with the win.

Pick: Wake Forest +115

UNLV Running Rebels @ BYU Cougars (-1800)

The BYU Cougars took a spill last week in an ugly blowout loss to TCU. Granted, that does end their Championship hopes but they are going to be very focused to bounce-back.

The bounce-back theory doesn’t always work in college football (see: Missouri). After a big win or a big loss, sometimes it takes a couple of games before a team bounces-back.

But Cougars’ head coach, Bronco Mendenhall, has talked about the loss to TCU as being a very humbling experience. Often times, coaches and players just try to look past their loss and move on but Mendenhall is making sure his team still feels the sting from last week so that they are focused this week. UNLV can score but their defense is horrendous. Expect a blowout.

Pick: BYU -1800

Boston College Eagles (+115) @ North Carolina Tar Heels

North Carolina played in a ton of close games last year and ending up losing most of them. This year, it’s been the opposite as they are sitting pretty at 5-2 with both losses being by a field goal margin.

Even so, the Tar Heels are taking their lumps. Their without starting quarterback T.J. Yates, who has been out for a while, and their top playmaker Brandon Tate.

Boston College has a nasty defense, which has been intimidating opponents all season long. They allowed 23 points last week but 14 points were the result of two interceptions returned for touchdowns. Look for the Eagles to squeak one out on the road.

Pick: Boston College +115
