Record: 31-14 (+7.37)

Michigan Wolverines @ Ohio State Buckeyes (-1400)

Michigan versus Ohio State won’t exactly have as much cache as it normally does. The Wolverines are in the midst of their worst season ever while the Buckeyes are basically out of the BCS picture save for a miraculous Michigan State win on the road at Happy Valley.

Regardless, the Buckeyes are the superior team in almost every aspect of this game. On top of that, they are at home. This is still a rivalry game, so expect both teams to be focused. If that’s the case, Ohio State should roll.

Pick: Ohio State -1400

Pittsburgh Panthers (+200) @ Cincinnati Bearcats

The Pittsburgh Panthers and Cincinnati Bearcats will be playing for first place in the Big East as the two teams meet up on Saturday. While most people still have the Panthers disappointing opening loss of the season to Bowling Green in mind, they have won seven of their last eight games since.

The Panthers lone loss came to Rutgers, who used a potent passing game to exploit the Panthers defense but the Bearcats don’t have the weapons to do so.

This will be an ugly game but Pitt is good in these types of contests.

Pick: Pittsburgh +200

Michigan State Spartans @ Penn State Nittany Lions (-650)

Sports betting enthusiasts seem to think that Michigan State is a legit program with a legit chance to win in Penn State. That’s not the case. For starters, the Spartans have been smacked around when they’ve faced premier competition (see: Ohio State). On top of that, the Spartans have struggled mightily when their star running back, Javon Ringer, has not been able to get going.

The Spartans are too one-dimensional, which will likely be their downfall at Happy Valley. The Nittany Lions are at home and are off of a game where they lacked focus. They should be up for this game, especially with a Rose Bowl berth on the line.

Pick: Penn State -650

Illinois Fight Illini @ Northwestern Wildcats (+125)

The Fighting Illini are 5-6, the Wildcats are 8-3. Yet the 8-3 Wildcats, who are at home, no less, are the underdog in this matchup. Sounds like a trap, doesn’t it?

If that’s the case, then so be it.

The Fighting Illini are one of the most inconsistent teams in the country and even thought Northwestern is beat up at the quarterback position, they don’t deserve to be home dogs. The Wildcats have the better defense and home-field advantage, which should be the difference. Look for them to get their ground game going and come up with their ninth win of the season.

Pick: Northwestern +125
