The Philadelphia Eagles are looking for their second win of the season over an AFC South opponent when they head to Nashville to play the Titans this upcoming Sunday afternoon at LP Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. and the game will be broadcast regionally on FOX.

The quarterback carousel in Philadelphia continues to spin but so far it has been all good no matter who is behind center. Last week it was Kevin Kolb’s turn to shine as he took apart the Atlanta Falcons 31-17, while making his second straight start for the injured Michael Vick. The Eagles covered as a three-point home favorite and the total went ‘over’ the 41 ½ point line.

The win improved Philadelphia’s record to 4-2 straight-up and 3-3 ATS on the year and it is currently tied with New York for first place in the NFC East. The Eagles have been tough on the road this season, going 3-0 SU and 2-1 ATS. The total has gone ‘over’ in three of their last five games.

It looks like Kolb will make his third straight start in this game. This would allow a couple more weeks for Vick’s bruised ribs to heal by the time Philadelphia comes back after its bye week. It also might give Head Coach Andy Reid even more to think about if Kolb plays like he did in the past two games. He has completed 44-of-60 attempts for 579 yards and four TD’s while throwing just one interception. What will hurt in this game is the absence of his favorite receiver DeSean Jackson, who is still recovering from a vicious hit he took in the Falcons game. NFL Betting

Another primetime player for Philadelphia has been RB LeSean McCoy. He has rushed for 429 yards on 80 carries and scored five TD’s as well as catching 32 passes for 239 yards. McCoy has more than filled the void left by the departure of longtime Eagles RB Brian Westbrook.

Tennessee is coming off an impressive 30-3 rout of Jacksonville this past Monday night. The Titans easily covered as a three-point road favorite and the total stayed well ‘under’ the 44 ½ point line. They are now 4-2 both SU and ATS for the season and tied with Houston and Indianapolis atop the AFC South. The Titans are 1-2 SU at home and 2-1 ATS. The total has stayed ‘under’ in three of their last five games.

The Titans’ offense revolves around a running game that is led by All-Pro RB Chris Johnson and is currently ranked third in the league. He has rushed for 596 yards on 139 carries and has scored seven TD’s. Johnson has been less of a factor in the passing game than he was last year and only has 15 receptions for 59 yards so far this year.

A big question mark for Tennessee in this game is the health QB Vince Young, who left the Jaguars game with a knee injury early in the game. His injury is considered mild and he should be ready to go, but if he cannot Kerry Collins will get the start. Collins looked sharp in relief last week, completing 11-of-16 attempts for 110 yards and a TD while engineering five straight scoring drives against Jacksonville.

The Eagles are 6-2 ATS in their last eight games in the month of October. The Titans are 2-10 ATS in their last 12 games against a team with a winning record and 1-4 ATS in their last five home games. The total has gone ‘over’ in five of Tennessee’s last six home games. Once again, Kevin Kolb and the Eagles offense comes up big on the road.

Giants/Texans Betting Trends:

The total has gone OVER in 4 of Philadelphia’s last 6 games on the road
Philadelphia is 3-6 ATS in its last 9 games
The total has gone OVER in 5 of Tennessee’s last 6 games at home
Tennessee is 12-4 SU in its last 16 games
Philadelphia is 4-1 SU in its last 5 games
Philadelphia is 6-2 SU in its last 8 games on the road
Tennessee is 6-3 SU in its last 9 games at home
Tennessee is 2-4 ATS in its last 6 games when playing Philadelphia

The Pick: Philadelphia +3 and OVER.
