NCAAF: BIG 12 SUPER SHOWDOWN

The Texas Longhorns (6-0) opened as seven-point home favorites over the Missouri Tigers (5-1) on Saturday, but it’s suddenly dropped to four.

Bet on this gigantic Big 12 matchup that’s being nationally broadcast at 8 pm ET on ABC. It has a whopping Over/Under of 69 points as Missouri averages 48.3 PPG and Texas 46.8 PPG.

The Total is also the focus of our Primetime Prop. If the total points scored in this game are 85 points or more, all losing “Total Points Scored” props will be refunded up to $100.00.

If you had to guess before last week which team would be undefeated, the majority would have said Missouri. After all, Texas was playing Oklahoma as a touchdown dog while Missouri was hosting Oklahoma State as two-touchdown chalk.

Instead, Texas stunned Oklahoma 45-35 with a Heisman sized effort from quarterback Colt McCoy. Missouri didn’t defend their home turf, losing 28-23 after their Heisman quarterback candidate, Chase Daniel, threw an uncharacteristic three interceptions. Daniel previously had only one pick all year and that came in the opening week.

Texas has now moved into the top spot in the country, while Missouri dropped all the way to 11th. The Longhorns should be in the national title game if they go undefeated, but they still have Top 16 teams, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech and Kansas on the schedule, and they can’t afford to look past this very tough Missouri team.

Daniel’s ability to put last week behind him is the key to this game, His wide receivers dropped some catchable balls and that seemed to affect him mentally. Missouri will spread out the Texas defense and if the Longhorns want to blitz a lot, they will open themselves up to big plays down the field.

Remember, even though Texas beat Oklahoma, they still gave up 387 passing yards and five touchdowns to Sam Bradford, although their fantastic run defense once again did their job.

NFL Pick Of The Week: Bills vs. CardinalsAnd while Missouri will likely be one dimensional on offense, Texas is going to want to run the ball with Chris Ogbonnaya, who had 127 crucial yards against Oklahoma and seems to be coming on.

McCoy can also tuck it and run from the quarterback position, but it’s his passing accuracy (79%) and 189 quarterback rating that is attracting attention. McCoy was an incredible 28-35 (80%) last week and he also showed a lot of moxie by continually bringing his team back from behind.

Missouri is 8-0 against the spread in their last eight road games, and that’s one of the reasons why this spread has dropped in addition to bettors feeling that Texas may have an emotional letdown coming off the big Sooners win. So there might be some value with the dog.

We also have the Player to Score 1st TD, and plenty of other props for Saturday’s game. For example, who the first team to score will be, and whether the longest touchdown in the game will be more than 58.5 yards.
