NCAAF: COWBOYS LASSOING PROFITS

The Oklahoma State Cowboys are a perfect 8-0 against the spread as they head to Lubbock, Texas for a showdown with the Texas Tech Red Raiders. This is another in a long line of huge Big 12 games and ABC will have the national broadcast at 8 pm ET. Texas Tech is currently only 3 ½-point favorites.

Oklahoma State (8-1) is the only major college team to be undefeated against the spread. They have beaten then #3 Missouri on the road as 14-point underdogs. They also nearly beat #1 Texas two weeks ago as 11 ½-point dogs before succumbing in the end, 28-24.

And while Texas Tech (9-0) stunned the nation by beating Texas 39-33 last week at home, you can make the case that it was Oklahoma State that softened them up for that defeat.

NFL Pick Of The Week: Bills vs. CardinalsThe Cowboys bring the nation’s #5 rushing attack on the road, but that’s not the only way they can beat you. Quarterback Zac Robinson and the passing attack are 38th in the country at 238.4 YPG.

Robinson is going to have to throw the ball with success for OSU to have a chance to win. Texas Tech has the 10th rated rushing defense in the land, and they’ll be pumped up playing at home in another night game.

The big question is how will the Cowboys at least slow down Graham Harrell and the passing attack? The Red Raiders were unstoppable against Texas, throwing for 474 yards. Receiver Michael Crabtree is a man among boys and he had 127 receiving yards last week including the game-winning touchdown with one second remaining, but Harrell also does a great job of spreading the ball around.

OSU is giving up 240 YPG through the air (92nd in the country). They also have the fewest sacks among any Big 12 team and Harrell will pick apart the secondary if given the time. Texas Tech is capable of running the ball effectively as well, but their first option is to stay with the passing attack.

Overall, this 3 ½-point spread seems very inviting to Texas Tech fans, but we’ve already seen a lot of crazy things happen in college football this year, and this could be one more.

Besides the game odds, check out our full set of props for this game like the Player to Score 1st TD, and plenty of others. For example, who the first team to score will be, and whether the longest touchdown in the game will be more than 60.5 yards.
