The Saints won their seventh straight game on Monday night, beating the Atlanta Falcons 35-27, but failing to cover the game’s NFL point spread as an 11.5-point home favorite just as I predicted in the BetUS NFL Locker Room while the game’s 62 combined points played Over the 55.5-point O/U total.

Drew Brees completed 25-of-33 passes for 308 yards with two touchdowns and an interception to lead New Orleans to victory.

The Carolina Panthers upset the Arizona Cardinals 34- 21 in Week 8, covering the NFL point spread as a 10-point road underdog while the game’s final score played Over the 44-point O/U total.

DeAngelo Williams rushed 23 times for 158 yards while Jonathan Stewart added for 87 yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries in the win.

Analysis: I know the Carolina Panthers have been one of the most inconsistent teams in the league this season, but something tells me they’re going to play their second strong game in a row while pushing the Saints hard to record their fourth win in their last five games.

Sure, the Panthers have gone an uninspiring 2-5 ATS in their last seven games against their NFC rivals and just 2-6 ATS in their last eight games overall, but Carolina has also won and covered the NFL point spread in two straight games against the Saints and four of their last five matchups against their NFC South counterparts in this series overall.

I know the Saints have gone a perfect 5-0 ATS versus a team with a losing record and 6-1 ATS in their last seven games as a home favorite, but the Panthers have gone an absolutely incendiary 8-0 ATS in their last eight games against the Saints in New Orleans.

While New Orleans has gone an impressive 7-2 ATS in their last nine home games, I’m rolling with the Carolina Panthers to cover the big 13-point spread in this contest and think they will improve on the fact that the road team has gone a blistering 15-2 ATS in their last 17 meetings.

Take the Panthers to cover the NFL point spread in this game and you won’t be sorry BetUS NFL online betting members.

One reply on “Panthers vs. Saints Trends + Week 9 Pick”

This could be a trap game for the Saints as I’m sure they are thinking about the fact that Carolina has won the last seven games in New Orleans. 13 points in any divisional game is a lot of points some the odds do favor the Panthers.
