Cappers Jaguars vs. Lions Betting Trends + Pick

Preview and Week 10 NFL cappers matchup tips for this week’s Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Detroit Lions matchup, plus an NFL Betting Preview, a look at the gambling trends, plus a free pick…

NFL Lock Alert – Perplexing Jaguars Visit Culpepper, Cowardly Lions

Avid BetUS NFL sports betting members know the Jacksonville Jaguars (3-5 SU, 2-6 ATS, 3-4 O/U) have been the most disappointing team in all of football this season. For a team that entered the 2008-09 season with genuine Super Bowl hopes, the Jags have failed both, fans and bettors miserably, to say the least.

While no one expected much out of the perennially dismal Detroit Lions (0-8 SU, 3-5 ATS, 4-3 O/U) – again – they have also sunken to new low, failing to win a single game halfway through their regular season schedule.

Both teams will be gunning for a victory in the BetUS Sportsbook on Sunday when they meet at Ford Field.

The Jaguars have dropped two straight games and looked absolutely pitiful in becoming the first team this season to lose to the Cincinnati Bengals, losing 21-19 on Sunday while failing in stunning fashion to cover the spread as 9-point road favorites.

Jaguars quarterback David Garrard completed just 23 of 38 passes for 229 yards, while failing to throw a touchdown with one interception. Jacksonville Jaguars running backs Maurice Jones-Drew and Fred Taylor were held to 33 and 12 yards respectively on a combined 15 carries.

Jacksonville’s normally stout defense, allowed Bengals backup quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick to throw two touchdown passes and running back Cedric Benson to rush for 104 yards and one touchdown on 24 carries.

The Lions played fairly decent football on Sunday but still lost to the Chicago Bears 27-23 on Sunday, getting shut out in the second half.

Lame-duck quarterback Dan Orlovsky completed 28 of 47 passes for 292 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions while Kevin Smith rushed 14 times for 37 yards and one touchdown. The Lions did manage to cover the spread for bettors as a 13-point road underdog in Week 9.

Here is a look at the key trends for each team, followed by my in-depth analysis and NFL Free Picks.

Jacksonville Jaguars -6½ -110
Detroit Lions +6½ -110

Over 44 -110
Under 44 -110

Analysis: This pick is an absolute ‘lock’ as the Jaguars will not only win this contest, but cover the spread emphatically while doing so. I know Jacksonville has been the most disappointing team in the entire league this season, but this is a contest they need to win at all costs if they are to keep their slim playoff hopes alive.

Take the Jags to win and cover and don’t look back NFL bettors.
