Cappers Cardinals vs. Eagles Betting Trends + Pick

Happy Thanksgiving Football Bettors! Cards and Eagles Free Pick!

The Arizona Cardinals (7-4 SU, 7-4 ATS, 7-4 O/U) had their four-game winning streak snapped with Sunday’s 37-29 home loss to the New York Giants. The Philadelphia Eagles (5-5-1 SU, 6-5 ATS, 5-6 O/U) looked absolutely pathetic in losing to the Baltimore Ravens 36-7 as a 1-point road favorite.

Now, both teams will be trying to pick up a win on Thursday when they meet for a Thanksgiving Day battle at Lincoln Financial Field.

The Cardinals lost to the Giants as a 3-point home underdog last week as quarterback Kurt Warner completed 32 of 52 passes for 351 yards with one touchdown and one interception.

Arizona saw its running game get totally bottled up in the loss, rushing for just 23 total yards on 15 carries.

“They’re a good defense and we matched up with them very well and went toe to toe with them for 60 minutes,” Warner said. “Of course, you never want to go away a loser and that part is disappointing. I think you leave from this game and move ahead. If we eliminate some of the mistakes we can play with anybody in the league.”

The Eagles dropped their second game in three outings as quarterback Donovan McNabb complete 8-of-18 passes for 59 yards and two interceptions for Philadelphia before getting benched in the second half in favor of backup Kevin Kolb who completed 10 of 23 passes for 73 yards and two interceptions.

“I thought it might be a little bit of a spark, and we might be able to get some things going,” said Reid, who had quarterbacks coach Pat Shurmur inform McNabb of the decision.

“My first (reaction) was, ‘Wow.’ But you go along with it,” McNabb said. “I am upset about us losing the game, and I’m upset that I wasn’t able to contribute. But I am going to focus on trying to help this team get better by eliminating mistakes and turnovers.”

The Eagles were held to 86 total rushing yards on 21 carries.

Here is a look at the key trends for each team, followed by my in-depth analysis and NFL Free Picks.

Philadelphia is 6-2 ATS in its last 8 games when playing Arizona

NFL Odds

Arizona Cardinals +2½
Philadelphia Eagles -2½

Over 46½ -110
Under 46½ -110

Analysis: Maybe it’s me but I’m thinking the Philadelphia Eagles are in the midst of imploding. The Birds are going backwards at the wrong time while the Cardinals will want to bounce back from their loss with a vengeance.

I say Kurt Warner and the high-scoring Cardinals march into Philadelphia and come out with a narrow straight up win – and the cover that goes along with it.
