Oddsmakers currently have the Eagles listed as 3½-point favorites versus the Commodores, while the game’s total is sitting at 40½.

Boston College will represent the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) in the eleventh annual Gaylord Hotels Music City Bowl and face off against the Southeastern Conference’s (SEC) Vanderbilt University.

Kick-off will be Wed., Dec. 31, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. CST at LP Field in Nashville. The game will be televised live on ESPN.

It wasn’t pretty, but the Commodores were able to sneak their way into a bowl game for just the fourth time in school history and the first since losing to Air Force in the 1982 Hall of Fame Bowl. As for BC, it used to four-game win streaks down the stretch to help it reach the ACC title game for a second straight season.
