The Ultimate Fighting Championship makes its debut in the Middle East this weekend with UFC 112: Invincible on Saturday in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

UFC 112 features not one but two main event title fights: Anderson Silva defends his middleweight belt against Demian Maia, and lightweight champ B.J. Penn goes up against Frankie Edgar.

Both champions are heavily favored to retain their titles in MMA Betting Odds at betED.com.

Silva is a -795 favorite against Maia while Penn is at -775 to win his scrap with Edgar. Maia is a +595 underdog and Edgar is at +575.

Silva, who turns 35 next week, is not just the UFC middleweight champion but is also widely ranked as the top pound-for-pound fighter in the world.

But he hasn’t stepped into the Octogan since UFC 101 on Aug. 8 last year when he fought at 205 pounds and beat former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Forrest Griffin.

Silva, a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, has won 10 straight bouts – the longest active winning streak in the UFC and the record for the longest winning streak in UFC history.

Penn, 31, was a famous fighter before joining the UFC, as he became the first American-born winner of the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship in the black-belt category in 2000.

Penn’s last fight was against Diego Sanchez at UFC 107 on Dec. 12 last year. Penn stunned Sanchez early and never looked back, finally knocking him down with a flurry in the final round.

Because of the time-zone difference in Abu Dhabi, UFC 112 will be shown live on PPV in the U.S. at 1 pm ET Saturday.
