Hot and Not Week 9

If you are in need of a HOT fantasy football player these Top Hot players for the week should help you out if they’re in your lineup. They may also be free agents on your waiver wire.

If you need to dump a lame duck on your team, these NOTS should be them. Throw em in the trash if you can afford to not have them on your bench. Fantasy Football always favors the prepared mind.

The more research you do, and the more HOT players you have to choose from on your team, the better your odds are of winning your fantasy football league outright this year.

After all of the weekly games are finished be sure to check our waiver wire column, studs and duds, a who’s hot, and who’s not report plus more in our fantasy football guide.

HEY FANTASY FOOTBALLERS!!!! EVER BET ON AN NFL GAME???? TRY OUR EXPERT PICKS!! —–>

Week 8 of the NFL brought us some high scoring games without a glut of amazing Offensive efforts.. There are a few usual suspects that have landed on the Hot list, while there are a few surprises that grace the Not list. The Hot and Not lists are a compilation of performances over the past few weeks – a player usually won’t appear after only 1 good or bad game (Ryan Moats). Remember that there are some pretty damn Hot Offenses returning from byes this week too (New England, Pittsburgh and Cincinnati) too.

So here we go with this week’s edition of Dave B’s Hot and Nots.

HOT

1. Tony Romo – Dallas – Romo has 8 tds. and zero interceptions in the last 3 games since the bye. He has averaged 306 yards in those 3 games – not bad!!! No reason to think that the streak won’t continue with Phili. Green Bay and Washington up next for Dallas.

2. Brett Favre -Minnesota – Lookin not so bad ya say? Favre had 4 touchdowns in his last game and plays Detroit and Seattle after his bye week. Favre can do no wrong right now.

3. Aaron Rogers -Green Bay – Getting battered about with the lack of protection he’s getting but still putting up HOT numbers. 8 touchdowns in 3 games – Pro Bowl type numbers – Congrats if you own him!

4. Chris Johnson – Tennessee – Has put together 2 of the best weeks any back has had – he’s catching the ball with regularity and he’s averaging 6.9 yards per carry this year. This dude is smokin like Cheech!!

5. Maurice Jones-Drew – Jacksonville – Did a little bitching about his limited roll and voila!! 5 touchdowns in 2 games!!! Up against Kansas City this week – watch out!

6. Steven Jackson – St. Louis – Jackson is the only real threat on the Rams – he knows it but so does everybody else. The bye comes at a good time – he’s been working hard – last 2 games 25 or so touches for around 160 yards in each.

7. Thomas Jones – NY Jets – Absolutely playing his ass off right now and the team is riding him hard. – He’s guaranteed 120 yards combined and a touchdown week in and week out.

8. Reggie Wayne – Indianapolis – Targeted 20 times on Sunday!!!! Wayne has a td. in 6 of the 7 games he has played this year. With Peyton Manning throwing for 300 yards EVERY game, Reggie will stay HOT.

9. Vincent Jackson – San Diego – Jackson has had over 100 yards 4 times this year and has 5 tds. in those 7 games. He is a pretty big part of a pretty good offense in San Diego – I don’t see him faltering anytime soon.

10. Marques Colston – New Orleans – Great Offense – he’s a big part of it – He’s gotta be HOT

11. Miles Austin – Dallas – 5 touchdowns in the last 3 games!! Only averaging 161 yards in those games – ya this guy’s HOT!

NOT

1. Derek Anderson and Jamarcus Russell – Too easy!!!!!

2. Eli Manning – NY Giants – Over his last 3 games, Eli has thrown for 3 tds. and 6 interceptions. Eli is in a slump folks – lets face it.

3. Jay Cutler – Chicago – Didn’t throw a touchdown last Sunday and only threw one the week before. Add in the 4 interceptions over that span and one can only draw one conclusion – Cutler is NOT HOT.

4. Marc Bulger – St. Louis – Zero touchdowns in his LAST 2 games. In fact, Bulger has been shut out 4 of the 7 games he’s played. Something smells in St. Louis and it aint Steven Jackson!!

5. Steve Slaton – Houston – BENCHED!! Against the Bufflao Bills. I hope it hurt to watch your replacement score 3 tds. Steve!! Your efforts are definitely NOT HOT.

6. Darren Sproles – San Diego – Darren Darren where have you gone? The West Coast version of Leon Washington has disappeared.

7. Ahmad Bradshaw – NY Giants – Was a serious challenge to Brandon Jacobs to take over the starting job it seemed. But Bradshaw’s NOT HOT performances the last 2 weeks have him back where he belongs – as a backup Running Back.

8. Roy Williams – Dallas – I kind of feel sorry for constantly picking on this guy but C’mon man!! You clearly aren’t the player that we thought you were. In no game this year have you had more than 4 catches Your last 2 games, you haven’t even reached 20 yards. Brutal!

9. Chris Chambers – San Diego/Kansas City – He was brought in to be The Man in SD. After 2 years of totally unproductive games, he was finally released by the Chargers. There are games that he is totally invisible. Good luck Chiefs, I hope you can wake Chambers up.

10. Brandon Marshall – Denver – It looked like he was coming around 3 weeks ago – Marshall looked like the Pro Bowler he’s supposed to be, but 2 straight Dud weeks have fans wondering if Marshall is destined to be the bust that he appeared to be at the beginning of the season.

11. TJ Houshmandzadeh – Seattle – This team is clearly not hitting on all cylinders and Housh’s numbers are a reflection of that. In his last 2 games, TJ has managed 4 catches and under 35 yards. Housh aint HOT.
