Looking for Internet Fantasy Predictions then look no further than our Dave B our fantasy expert weighing in on weekly fantasy football topics for Week 5 action…

Week 5 Hot and Not

If you are in need of a HOT fantasy football player these Top Hot players for the week should help you out if they’re in your lineup. They may also be free agents on your waiver wire.

If you need to dump a lame duck on your team, these NOTS should be them. Throw em in the trash if you can afford to not have them on your bench. Fantasy Football always favors the prepared mind.

The more research you do, and the more HOT players you have to choose from on your team, the better your odds are of winning your fantasy football league outright this year.

After all of the weekly games are finished be sure to check our waiver wire column, studs and duds, a who’s hot, and who’s not report plus more in our fantasy football guide.

HEY FANTASY FOOTBALLERS!!!! EVER BET ON AN NFL GAME???? TRY OUR EXPERT PICKS!! —–>

Week 4 was a week in which mostly the Hot remained Hot and the Not remained NOT!!! Pretty weak intro. but its true!!! Apologies to Eli Manning, David Gerrard, and Brandon Marshall for your omissions, Here we go! Please feel free to comment.

HOT

1. Peyton Manning – Indianapolis – Averaging 334 yards per game in his 1st 4. 9 tds. sprinkled in and there is no doubting that Manning is HOT!! Do Tennessee and St. Louis scare him?? See ya on this list for the foreseeable future Peyton!!!

2. Ben Roethlisberger – Pittsburgh – Passing for huge yardage this year and is totally in command of the passing game. Add in some success on the ground, and Bright days are ahead for Big Ben. Detroit and Cleveland coming up!!! – yum!!!

3. Brett Favre – Minnesota – Still getting it done – and obviously having fun doing it. Favre is Red Hot right now – he has the stability of an elite running game and he has finally developed a chemistry with his receiving corp. I still hate him though!!

4. Ronnie Brown – Miami – This guy is a beast and a threat to score anytime that he touches the ball. His coaches have created new wrinkles designed to get the ball in this dude’s hands – no matter what. A 2 td. performance in Week 4 definitely make him Hot!

5. Matt Forte – Chicago – Finally!!!! Forte reeled off some good runs in Week 4 and with a good passing game, there will be more holes for Forte to weave through. Although he hasn’t been too Hot so far, me thinks that Week 4 is the start of a very Hot streak for Forte.

6. Rashard Mendenhall – Pittsburgh – Nothing like a good tongue lashing from your coach to get you going!!! Mendenhall responded to criticism with a 165 yard 2 td. performance in Week 4. Hot Hot, and with games against Detroit and Cleveland coming up, his Hot streak should continue. Now, if Fast Willie would just go away!!!

7. Steve Smith – NY Giants – Who is the scoring leader amongst Wideouts in Fantasy Football? Randy Moss?, Andre Johnson?, Larry Fitzgerald? Nope, its Steve Smith!!! Over 400 yards and 4 tds. is all that this unheralded WR has done, He’s Hot and I see no reason for it not to continue.

8. Mike Sims-Walker – Jacksonville – at least 6 catches in the 3 games he’s played. Averaging about 93 yards and a touch per game!!!! Crazy! Seattle and St. Louis coming up – He’s Hot!

9. DeSean Jackson – Philadelphia – Coming off a 101 yard and a td. effort and a 149 yard 1 td. effort, Jackson headed into the bye knowing that he’s have Donovan McNabb back at QB. Dononvan aint stupid – he’ll get DeSean the ball – guaranteed.

10. Antonio Gates – San Diego – Huge performance in Week 4 followed up some decent efforts. If Rivers keeps going to Gates like he did Sunday, the 2 should have success. Face it folks – Gates and Vincent Jackson are all the Chargers have on offense!! Lets hope Rivers doesn’t forget about him.

11. New Orleans Defense – Another “can’t believe I’m sayin it” moment in Fantasy Football!! The Saints D are for real!!!! This team could be scary!!!!

NOT

1. Drew Brees – New Orleans – Another “can’t believe I’m sayin it” moment!!! 0 tds. in 2 games? The Fantasy Gods are cruel!!

2. Matt Cassell – KC – Getting the tds. but they are mostly in garbage time. His yardage #’s are terrible!! With Dallas and Washington coming up – Cassell – Not Hot!!!!

3. Trent Edwards – Buffalo – 5 tds. and 5 picks in the 1st 4 weeks. The offense is totally out of sync in Buffalo and I think Edwards has a lot to do with it.

4. LaDainian Tomlinson – San Diego – The writing is on the wall for the Chargers. LT is not the same!!! He can’t be depended on anymore.

5. Larry Johnson – Kansas City – Ditto!!

6. Oakland RB’s – Darren McFadden is out – he sucked!! Michael Bush steps into the starting role – he sucks!!! Ah well – at least you have Justin Fargas – HE SUCKS!!!!!!

7. Roy Williams – Dallas – Word is that he is a bit banged up right now. But its time to start producing like a bonafide #1 WR!!!! Come on man – the #’s are embarrassing.

8. Eddie Royal – Denver – A 3 catch 20 yards effort in Week 2 was his best game of the year. To be sooo talented and still be forgotten is baffling to say the least. Until he shows something He’s Not Hot.

9. Dwayne Bowe – Kansas City – After 2 underwhelming weeks and then another week inactive because of injury, Bowe was ready to break out and have a big performance – right?? Wrong!!! 1 catch for 11 yards!!! Not gonna be Bowe’s year!!

10. Laveranues Coles – Cincinnati – Brought in to replace an extremely effective TJ Houshmen…. Cole, for some reason just isn’t getting it done. 1 td. and a yardage high of 34 in Week 3 – ugly numbers for a classy guy!!

11. Tennessee Defense – I guess Albert Haynesworth wasn’t expendable. A unit that struck the fear of God into EVERY Offense last year has been a wet paper bag this year. The Offense seems to be doing all the right things, but they are built to run the ball and protect the lead – not to play catch-up via the pass. Disappointing indeed!!
