Another week of Fantasy Football is almost in the books – there certainly was a fair share of Stud performances. Unfortunately, there were some legitimate Duds as well.

Below is Dave B’s Week 5 version of Studs and Duds. Enjoy!

Studs of the Week:

Ben Roethlisberger – Pittsburgh Steelers – Ben was supposed to be banged up – extremely limited with a sprained foot. He went for 228 yards passing and five touchdowns on Sunday despite. Ben is definitely Stud of the Week!

Adrian Peterson – Minnesota Vikings – I played against AP in my Fantasy league this week. The dude had three touchdowns in the first quarter! He had 29 bruising carries for 122 yards on Sunday making him Stud of the Week.

Other Studs:

QBs

Drew Brees – New Orleans Saints – Brees was a monster on Sunday. When the team needed him to deliver he did. Brees completed 32 of 45 passes for 359 yards and two touchdowns in another Stud performance.

Aaron Rodgers – Green Bay Packers – Rodgers started slow but when he put the foot on the pedal he became a Stud. 396 yards passing and two touchdowns on Sunday night make Rogers a Stud… again.

Matt Cassel – Kansas City Chiefs – Ya – for real! Against Indianapolis Cassel threw for four touchdowns on 21 of 29 passing. Don’t expect to see him here again but on Sunday, Cassel was Sunday’s most improbable Stud.

Honourable Mention: Michael Vick, Cam Newton, Eli Manning

RBs

Arian Foster – Houston Texans – Foster is insane – a Fantasy machine! He ran for a respectable 68 yards but added another 116 receiving yards on 5 catches.

Fred Jackson – Buffalo Bills – This week he ran for 111 yards and a touchdown while adding a very nice 85 yards receiving on 6 catches. Jackson has been a Stud all season – love the guy!

Frank Gore – San Francisco 49ers – How about the 49ers! Gore had 125 yards rushing on Sunday with a touchdown and added another 18 yards receiving. The Niners are making it look easy!

WRs

Dwayne Bowe – Kansas City Chiefs – Amazing game for Bowe in Week 5. He had 7 catches, 128 yards and two touchdowns against the Colts. Stud performance!

Pierre Garcon – Indianapolis Colts – Garcon has been out of his mind in the last two weeks. On Sunday he followed up a great Week 4 with a five catch, 125 yard, two touchdown effort in Week 5.

Victor Cruz – New York Giants – Cruz has become an every week start in Fantasy! He has been amazing in the last three weeks. On Sunday, in a loss, Cruz had 161 yards receiving on eight catches and a touchdown – Stud!

Honourable Mention: Jimmy Graham – New Orleans Saints

Duds of the Week:

Josh Freeman – Tampa Bay Buccaneers – What is going on with the Bucs? Yuk! On Sunday, Freeman had just 187 yards, ZERO touchdowns and two interceptions in a brutal loss to the 49ers.

Brandon Lloyd – Denver Broncos – 1 catch for 20 yards? Dud! [ad-8469823]

Other Duds:

QBs

Kyle Orton – Denver Broncos – On the Dud list because he officially played himself out of a job. It’s Tebow time Denver. Orton was 6 of 13 for 34 yards and an interception before departing. See ya late Kyle!

Matt Ryan – Atlanta Falcons – Ugly game for the Falcons on Sunday night. Ryan was stuck in the mud after the first quarter. He ended up with 167 yards passing, one touchdown and two interceptions against the vulnerable defense of Packers.

Donovan McNabb – Minnesota Vikings – Ya – there were not a whole lot of Dud performances from QBs this week. It’s getting kind of fun to kick Donovan when he is down however!

RBs

LeGarrette Blount – Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Blount left with an injury but he wasn’t doing much before he left. Blount had 10 carries for just 34 yards in a game that everyone though that he would explode.

Cedric Benson – Cincinnati Bengals – Benson got his touches – 24 but he didn’t do anything with them. He gained just 53 yards in a Dud performance.

Darren McFadden – Oakland Raiders – McFadden had his worst game of the year on Sunday. This automatic start generated just 51 yards on the ground while adding 17 receiving yards – Dud!

Dishonourable Mention: Ahmad Bradshaw, Chris Johnson

WRs

Jacoby Jones – Houston Texans – Jones was supposed to step in and dominate in place of Andre Johnson. I hope you weren’t the one that was burned by his one catch for 19 yards on Sunday.

Eric Decker – Denver Broncos – Decker killed my Fantasy team a few weeks back. This week he finished with minus four yards receiving on two catches. I can’t remember any WR with a stat line like that!

Vincent Jackson – San Diego Chargers – Total letdown! Three catches for 34 yards didn’t help me out this week at all!

Dishonorable Mention: Sidney Rice, Mike Williams (TB), Stevie Johnson
