Take a gander at Dave B’s Week 3 Waiver Wire and Good Pickins!

QBs

Cam Newton – Carolina Panthers – The time for thinking is over. Cam Newton followed up an amazing debut with 432 yards passing against a good Green Bay defense. He also rushed the ball for 53 yards and a score in that game. The Panthers may not been winning but he’s racking up the Fantasy points.

Andy Dalton – Cincinnati Bengals – It may be early on Dalton but he passed for 332 yards, two touchdowns and zero interceptions last week. Those are solid numbers.

Mike Kafka – Philadelphia Eagles – Who knows what the doctors are saying about Michael Vick. Kafka may only start one game max.

RBs

Thomas Jones – Kansas City Chiefs – Jamaal Charles is done for the season leaving the load to be split between Jones and Dexter McCluster. Jones is the better bet to emerge as the strongest of the backs. He plays on a run-first team and could benefit some lucky owner.

Daniel Thomas – Miami Dolphins – Some might have forgotten about Daniel Thomas during drafts. He’s forgotten no more. He had a combined 117 yards on Sunday and looks very much like the feature back in Miami.

Willis McGahee – Denver Broncos – The Knowshon Moreno boat is sinking. Willis McGahee did what Moreno hasn’t been able to do. He ground out a game and won it with 28 carries, 101 yards and one touchdown. If Moreno continues to be banged up McGahee may be your man. [ad-8469823]

Others to Monitor: Ben Tate – Houston Texans, Tashard Choice – Dallas Cowboys

WRs

Nate Burleson – Detroit Lions – One thing is certain – the Lions are going to throw the ball. Burleson followed up a great Week 1 with 7 catches and 93 yards. He is clearly Stafford’s second option – not too bad.

David Nelson – Buffalo Bills – Nelson snuck up on us with a decent Week 1 but he really stepped up in Week 2 – 10 catches, 83 yards and a touchdown. He and Ryan Fitzpatrick obviously have a good chemistry and could continue to surprise.

Denarius Moore – Oakland Raiders – Okay – maybe a 1 week wonder but 146 yards and a touchdown on Sunday has me interested.

Erik Decker – Denver Broncos – Eddie Royal may be out and Decker is prime to step up. He had an amazing game – 5 catches, 113 yards and two scores on Sunday. Keep your eye on this one.

Others to Monitor – Preston Parker – Kansas City Chiefs, Jerome Simpson – Cincinnati Bengals

TEs

Fred Davis – Washington Redskins – If Davis is available in your league (chances are that he’s not), grab him. He is the fifth ranked Tight End in Fantasy after two weeks.

Defense

Arizona Cardinals – If you have seen the Seattle Seahawks play this year you would know that any defense playing against them is Gold. This week it happens to be the Arizona Cardinals.
