HOT + NOT For Week 2 Fantasy Football

Looking for Internet Fantasy Predictions then look no further than our Dave B our fantasy expert weighing in on weekly fantasy football topics for Week 2 action…

Week 2 Hot and Not

If you are in need of a HOT fantasy football player these Top Hot players for the week should help you out if they’re in your lineup. They may also be free agents on your waiver wire.  If you need to dump a lame duck on your team, these NOTS should be them.

Throw em in the trash if you can afford to not have them on your bench. Fantasy Football always favors the prepared mind.

The more research you do, and the more HOT players you have to choose from on your team, the better your odds are of winning your fantasy football league outright this year.

After all of the weekly games are finished be sure to check our waiver wire column, studs and duds, a who’s hot, and who’s not report plus more in our fantasy football guide.

Week 1 had its share of outstanding performances. It also has some ugly stat lines. It would be great if there were some surprise Hot players, but unfortunately, most of the names on this week’s list are ones that you have seen before and will likely see again.

So, here we go with the inaugural 2009 Hot and Not.

HOT

1. Drew Brees -New Orleans – Anyone that writes a comparable column that does not have Brees on their list is simply not doing their job. 358 yards and 6 tds. is scorching and there is no reason to think that he will slow down this week against the Eagles.

2. Tom Brady -New England – Another from the Obvious File, but Tom deserves some love. 1st game back and he leaves no doubt that he will once again be a TOP fantasy producer.

3. Joe Flacco – Baltimore – Anyone that can make Derek Mason, Mark Clayton and Todd Heap look good is Hot. 307 yards and 3 tds last week and he looks to continue against a team that made Jamarcus Russell look OK. Easy schedule makes him even hotter.

4. Adrian Peterson – Minnesota – Not fair!!! Just not fair – 180 yds and 3 tds looked routine for All Day. Going to be fun to watch this year.

5. Thomas Jones – NY Jets – 2 tds last week along with 107 yds. Looks pretty good and remember that the Jets are GONNA run the ball this week to keep Brady and company off the field.

6. Carnell Williams – Tampa – Gotta love a guy that plays through 2 knee surgeries and rushes for 97 yds. On just 13 touches. Add in a td,- he’s Hot. Playing a Buffalo team that aint very good this week – no reason to think the Bucs won’t use the same game plan this week.

7. Santonio Holmes – Pittsburgh – 9 grabs and a 131 yards. The Steelers have woken up and realized that they can win throwing the ball. With a questionable ground attack, Holmes will be the benefactor.

8. Devery Henderson – New Orleans – had a great game last week – was actually targeted more than Colston. Hot now, just hope it continues.

9.Mark Clayton – Baltimore – Flacco looks awesome. Clayton is the play maker on the team. Easy schedule – nuff said.

10. Zach Miller – Oakland – Matched Gates on Monday night – only dude that Jamarcus can rely on – really!

11 Atlanta D – Held Miami DOWN!!!! Play Carolina this week – yummy!!!

NOT

1. Jake Delhomme – Carolina – Sorry – too obvious!!!!

2. Matt Schuab – Houston – Could only put up 7 on the Jets, now you gotta play Tennessee? The offense clearly looks that they think its still the preseason.

3. Brett Favre – Minnesota – Not here because of terrible play, but because he doesn’t have to do a damn thing. I don’t see too man 225 yard games for Brett – AP is going to do all the scoring for the Vikes.

4. LaDainian Tomlinson – SD – Might not play this week – even if he does, he has to go against Baltimore. Sure doesn’t seem optimism is on LT’s side.

5. Matt Forte – Chicago – Had 63 catches last year – none Sunday. Add in the poor rushing totals and the Fact that Cutler seems to have no idea how to use him and you have to conclude that Matt is NOT Hot.

6. Terrell Owens – Buffalo – 2 catches Sunday? This Bills suck!!! The TO Meltdown watch is officially on!

7. Anquan Boldin – Arizona – Do you have that sinking feeling? Offensive co-ordinator is gone and the Cards seem lost. Kurt Warner scares the hell out of me and Matt Leinart is worse.

8. Santana Moss – Washington – Not a factor AT ALL. Campbell isn’t even looking his way.

9. Des Clark – Chicago – Plaing with a QB that love the Tight End (literally) and still can’t manage a thing. Don’t see it getting better.

10. Cowboys D. – No sacks, no turnovers = huge disappointment.
