Week 13 NFL waiver wire plus fantasy football lineup tips to help decide who to start or bench on your fantasy football team…

WAIVER WIRE WEEK 13

This is our waiver wire pick-ups column. Dave B scours the free agent pools in fantasy land for the best available talent every week. Availability, of course, depends on the league. We’re using 12 team, 15 roster spot leagues as the median, but we’ll look for roster candidates for leagues of all shapes and sizes.

After all of the weekly games are finished be sure to check our cheatsheets, a who’s hot, and who’s not report plus more in our fantasy football guide.

Week 13 is coming up folks and most enter the 1st week of their Fantasy playoffs. This week’s additions could propell you to a champoinship – only if you choose the right player.

Pay attention, there are some Hot players, and some that are returning to the Fantasy Radar after being dropped earlier in the season because of injuries and ineffectiveness.

Choose well, and Good Luck in the 1st round of your Fantasy playoffs.

QBS

Vince Young – Tennessee – He’s defying all odds. Young is 5-0 and is quickly becoming a quality player. Add Young – he’s got St. Louis at home In Week 14!

Josh Freeman – Tampa Bay – Rounding into form to say the least. 20/29 for 250 yards and 2 tds. instantly raises some eyebrows. He’s big, strong and has an uber-talented Antonio Bryant back from injury. Tampa has no running game to speak of and has nothing to lose – they are going to continue to throw the ball all over the field.

Ryan Fitzpatrick – Buffalo – He’s got a grip on the starting job in a Buffalo Offense that has a guy named Terrell Owens rounding into form, Lee Evans, and 2 Running Backs that catch the ball out of the backfield with great regularity. He aint great, but he aint bad either.

Other to Monitor – Chris Redman – Atlanta – Matt Ryan aint gonna play in Week 13. Redman is the starter.

RBS

Justin Forsett – Seattle – Probably not available anymore, but if he is, now is the time to grab him. Julius Jones is due back next week, but after a 130 yard, 2 td. effrot in Week 12, Forsett is sure to get a ton of carries going forward.

Larry Johnson – Cincinnati – Over 100 yards in Week 12 for the first time in nearly a century. If Cedric Benson is forced to sit out any more games, Johnson figured to get the bulk of the carries for the Bengals. He looks sharp and refreshed and poised to make a splash in the NFL before the season is over.

WRS

Robert Meachem – New Orleans – He’s a big part of an awesome Offense. 5 tds. in 4 games. If he’s still there, he’s a no brainer

Kenny Britt – Tennessee – 7 catches, 128 yards and a td. in Week 12 has early season Waiver Wire Darling Kenny Britt back on the radar. Justin Gage is injured, leaving Britt the unquestioned #1 WR in Tampa. Add in the fact that he seems to have some chemistry with a MUCH improved Vince Young, and Britt becomes the most attractive Waiver Wire personality this week.Sports Betting at Sportsbook.com

Jason Avant – Philadelphia – Has been a very reliable target for Donovan McNabb lately. Week 12 was no different with 94 yards on 5 catches. If DeSean Jackson is forced to sit out next week with a concussion, Avant becomes even more enticing.

Antonio Bryant – Tampa Bay – Finally healthy. Bryant is a special talent who has been unable to get it going this year because of injury. If he’s right, he’s a legitimate weapon as Week 12’s 3 catch 91 yard,1 touchdown performance proves.

Danny Amendola – St. Louis – 11 catches in his last 2 weeks. He’s a possession receiver, much like Wes Welker and with Kyle Boller running the show in St. Louis, he will be targeted often.

Others to Monitor: James Jones – Green Bay : Devin Thomas – Washington : Mike Thomas – Jacksonville

TES

Casey Fitzimmons – Detroit – The lions starter and 1st round draft choice Brandon Pettigrew blew out his knee in Week 12 and Fitzimmons filled in admirable. Detroit really uses the Tight End – perve!!! He could be serviceable going forward.

Fred Davis – Washington – The Tight End position is a big part fo the Washington Offense, and Davis is finally starting to get it. He should be OK going forward

Other to Monitor – Tony Scheffler – Denver

Defense

I got nothin!!!
