Fantasy Football: Week 10 Waiver Wire

Week 10 NFL waiver wire plus fantasy football lineup tips to help decide who to start or bench on your fantasy football team…

Week 10 Waiver Wire

Week 10 of the Fantasy Football season and strangely there are no byes this week even though there is some next week. There were not a whole lot of injuries for once in the NFL this week and the talent is somewhat scarce. But there just may be some Fantasy Gold somewhere out there.

QBs

Carson Palmer – Oakland Raiders – Well, I guess the bye did him some good. Palmer was OK not great against the Broncos but he did put up some good numbers. He has some good weapons in Oakland and was able to find them on Sunday – 332 yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions. He’s got San Diego and Minnesota on tap – if you are absolutely desperate, absolutely desperate, you could take a shot.

Andy Dalton – Cincinnati Bengals – The rookie has registered multiple touchdowns in 3 of his last 4 games. If 220 yards and two touchdowns is what you are after – he’s your man. Be wary though – the Bengals have Pittsburgh and Baltimore on tap the next two weeks.

Don`t Forget About: Christian Ponder

RBs

Marshawn Lynch – Seattle Seahawks – Lynch had 135 yards and a touchdown against Dallas on Sunday. Was it a fluke? Your guess is as good as mine. One thing I know is that he will get plenty of opportunity in Seattle – they are committed to the run. He has Baltimore next week but has a very cushy matchup in Week 11 against St. Louis.

Roy Helu – Washington Redskins – We all knew that the Roy Helu era was coming – we just didn’t think it would happen that quick! Helu had 24 touches for 149 yards on Sunday – 14 catches! Crazy! Ryan Torain had 2 touches – nuff said! Helu has Miami, Dallas and Seattle on tap – grab him now.

Donald Brown – Indianapolis Colts – Donald Brown out-touched Delone Carter 17-4 on Sunday. Brown seems to be emerging out of that backfield committee. With Joseph Addai still gimpy, Brown could be a factor against Jacksonville next week.

Others to Monitor: Ben Tate, Joe McKnight, Chris Ogbonnaya

WRs

Earl Bennett – Chicago Bears – If you watched the Monday Night game, you will run out and grab this guy! Cutler looks his way often and he could finally be the #1 on a team full of #2’s!

Laurent Robinson – Dallas Cowboys – Miles Austin left Sunday’s game after re-aggravating his groin injury. Laurent Robinson seemed to have decent chemistry with Tony Romo – 5 catches and a touchdown. With Austin potentially out, Robinson’s value increases.

Steve Breaston – KC Chiefs – People forgot about Breaston with Jon Baldwin emerging last week. Breaston has been good all season and on Sunday rewarded his owners (the very few!) He caught 7 balls for 115 yards on Sunday and has Denver next on the schedule – OK WR3/4 value. [ad-8469823]

Jacoby Ford – Oakland Raiders – With a new gunslinger in town everybody has a new start in Oakland. Ford caught all five of his targets for 105 yards and a touchdown on Sunday – could he be the new #1? In deep leagues, Ford could be worth a shot.

Others to Monitor: Lavelle Hawkins, Early Doucet, Austin Pettis, Torrey Smith,

TEs

Jake Ballard – NY Giants – Ballard has averaged 16.6 yards per game in his last five and has scored in three of those games – how many of your tight ends can say that?

Heath Miller – Pittsburgh Steelers – Miller has been superb in the last three weeks particularly. He absolutely needs to be owned in all leagues.

Anthony Fasano – Miami Dolphins – He had two touchdowns on Sunday – hard to ignore! But be aware that those were his only two catches of the game on an afternoon that his QB clearly played over his head! He surely has the trust of his QB in the Red Zone for what that`s worth!

Others to monitor: Jared Cook

Defense

Jacksonville Jaguars – Anyone starting against the Indianapolis Colts will get some Fantasy points – period! Add in the fact that they have been a decent squad this season and there could be some value here on a matchup basis only.

Washington Redskins – This unit has some talent but have been slightly underwhelming of late. They have Miami this week – a team that they SHOULD be able to shut down!
