NFL Weekly Review

BetUS NFL Sportsbook betting fanatics saw the season-long trend of surprising outcomes in the BetUS Sportsbook continue in Week 15 in what has been one of the most unpredictable seasons in recent memory.

Despite going an absolutely atrocious 3-7 with my personal wagering selections on Sunday, your boy E Dubya’ has still put BetUS NFL sports betting buffs in the black this season with an overall 2008-09 NFL handicapping record of 110-97 (53 percent).

Here is a glimpse back at the week that was as well as a glimpse into what lies ahead for NFL sports betting enthusiasts in Week 16.

Bears 27 Saints 24

Chicago kept its slim playoff hopes alive by beating the Saints, but I’m thinking both clubs will be on the outside looking in come playoff time. Chicago hosts Green Bay a week from tonight.

Texans 13 Titans 12

The Titans were surprised in this contest, but I’m not worried they’ve lost their mojo or anything. This week’s home contest against Pittsburgh will tell NFL sports betting backers everything they need to know about the Titans and their state of mind heading into the postseason. Expect Houston to win another game against Oakland next week.

Jets 31 Bills 27

The Jets are still mediocre despite this victory. New York can move another step closer toward securing a playoff berth with a win in Seattle on Sunday. The Bills have self-destructed since getting off to an exciting 5-1 start in what seems like eons ago.

Dolphins 14 49ers 9

The Miami Dolphins are winning ugly but they are winning nevertheless as they rebound from a franchise-worst 1-15 mark just last season. The Fish will have a tough road date in K.C. this coming Sunday while Frisco will look to bounce back and finish strong for head coach Mike Singletary at St. Louis.

Chargers 22 Chiefs 21

The Chargers were very fortunate to beat Kansas City but won’t be so lucky if they play the same game against Tampa Bay, even at home, on Sunday. The Chiefs will look to slow down the streaking Miami Dolphins at home on Sunday.

Seahawks 23 Rams 20

Both of these teams have been disgraceful this season and should serve as fodder for their respective next opponents this coming Sunday.

Jaguars 20 Packers 16

The Packers really dropped the ball by letting Brett Favre leave town at least one season too early, although young quarterback Aaron Rodgers is clearly the real deal. The Packers visit Chicago on Monday night while the Jags host the Colts on Thursday.

Falcons 13 Buccaneers 10

The high-flying Falcons visit Minnesota in game that could decide the postseason fates of both clubs while the Buccaneers will need to score some points in order to beat the San Diego Chargers at home on Sunday.

Bengals 20 Redskins 13

The Redskins have officially fallen apart! A win at home against Philadelphia on Sunday is an absolute must, though their playoff hopes are probably shot at this point. The Bengals could make it two straight wins playing the Browns in Cleveland next week.

Patriots 49 Raiders 26

The Patriots will need another fine offensive performance to beat the struggling Cardinals at home next week while the Raiders are toast at this point.

Panthers 30 Broncos 10

Carolina has gotten the job done all season long and has a downright fearsome rushing duo in Jonathan Stewart and DeAngelo Williams. Their road contest against the Giants could be an NFC Championship game preview.

Vikings 35 Cardinals 14

The Cardinals were shocked in this emphatic home loss to Minnesota and have some defensive issues that could keep them from advancing very far in the postseason. Arizona will get a stiff test in New England on Sunday while Minnesota has their own tough matchup against Atlanta at home looming.

Steelers 13 Ravens 9

Despite the fact that the Ravens lost this contest, I wouldn’t want to face them in the postseason if they get there. The Ravens have a huge road date in Dallas while the Steelers will hook up with Tennessee in what promises to be another thriller.

Cowboys 20 Giants 8

I’m not concerned about the Giants, (although I though suspending Plax for four games was a stroke of lunacy). New York could drop their third straight game against Carolina at home if they don’t bring the collective ‘A’ game while the ‘Boys have a toughie at home against Baltimore on Saturday.
