Looking for Internet Fantasy Predictions then look no further than our Dave B our fantasy expert weighing in on weekly fantasy football topics for Week 7 action…

HOT AND NOT WEEK 7

If you are in need of a HOT fantasy football player these Top Hot players for the week should help you out if they’re in your lineup. They may also be free agents on your waiver wire.

If you need to dump a lame duck on your team, these NOTS should be them. Throw em in the trash if you can afford to not have them on your bench. Fantasy Football always favors the prepared mind.

The more research you do, and the more HOT players you have to choose from on your team, the better your odds are of winning your fantasy football league outright this year.

After all of the weekly games are finished be sure to check our waiver wire column, studs and duds, a who’s hot, and who’s not report plus more in our fantasy football guide.

Week 7 is almost here. Now is time to look at your roster and determine who you can depend on and who you can’t. Below is a list of some HOT players and some NOT HOT players in the NFL.

Enjoy this week’s HOT and NOT list and be sure to leave a comment!

Hot

QBs

Drew Brees – New Orleans Saints – Brees has regained the form that was sadly lacking for a few games. He has averaged 271 yards passing and 2 ½ touchdowns in his last two games and now has the privilege of playing the Cleveland Browns. Cha-Ching!

Kevin Kolb – Philadelphia Eagles – It is going to be really hard for the Eagles to go back to Michael Vick especially since they have gained back a ton of confidence in Kolb. He passed for 326 yards last week and is now averaging almost 290 yards and 2 touchdowns since retaking the starting job. Tennessee’s weak pass defense is on the menu this week!

Ben Roethlisberger – Pittsburgh Steelers – Ben is back and although his numbers were not extraordinary last week, his team won huge and his arm wasn’t needed. Ben is fresh, confident and ready to conquer the league. Three touchdowns in his first game this season makes him HOT already!

RBs

Steven Jackson – St. Louis Rams – Jackson has rumbled for over 100 yards two weeks in a row and he’s catching the ball out of the backfield as well. Sam Bradford has gone cold, but Jackson remains HOT!

Ahmad Bradshaw – New York Giants – Bradshaw had a minor hiccup against Houston but in the two games sandwiched around the Texans tilt, Ahmad has averaged 131 yards rushing. He is a threat to catch the ball too, making him even HOTTER!

Chris Johnson – Tennessee Titans – Johnson has rumbled for 142 yards and three touchdowns in his last two games. Add in the occasional catch out of the backfield and CJ2 is one of the HOTTER RBs in the NFL. Philadelphia and San Diego are on tap so the goodness should continue.

WRs

Calvin Johnson – Detroit Lions – Megatron has battled injury but has caught four touchdowns in the last three weeks. He has at least four grabs in every game this year and has only been less than 50 yards one time. He’s as HOT as they come.

Brandon Marshall – Miami Dolphins – Marshall had an off game a couple of weeks ago against New England but in the two sandwiched around that game, he has 20 catches for 293 yards! Insane!

Andre Johnson – Houston Texans – Sprained ankle? What sprained ankle? Johnson has caught 13 balls for 233 yards and one touchdown in his last two games. He has a bye this week followed by a guaranteed shootout against Indianapolis on the schedule.

Jeremy Maclin – Philadelphia Eagles – Maclin had 13 catches for 254 yards and two touchdowns in the past two games. With DeSean Jackson likely out for an extended period, his numbers should stay HOT.

Not Hot

QBs

Brett Favre – Minnesota Vikings – If you are depending on Favre for your Fantasy squad, I am truly sorry. He is NOT HOT as they come – 118 yards passing was enough for the Vikings to win but not good enough to avoid the NOT HOT list.

Jay Cutler – Chicago Bears – I know that it is not all Jay’s fault. His offensive line is absolutely horrid. In the last 2 ½ games that Cutler has played, he has thrown a measly one touchdown!

Mark Sanchez – New York Jets – He was a solid Waiver Wire pick up after Week 3 but since then Sanchez is NOT HOT. He has not passed for 200 yards in his last three games and has one touchdown and two interceptions in his last two.

RBs

Ryan Matthews – San Diego Chargers – Matthews is still hampered a bit by injury but he hasn’t done much to steal the starting job away in San Diego. Some would argue that Mike Tolbert is the better back right now. As long as Matthews is getting his usual 9-12 carries per game, he’ll remain NOT HOT.

Jahvid Best – Detroit Lions – Best has not eclipsed 67 yards and he has not scored in his last four games. He is making a few catches but is doing nothing with them.

Michael Bush – Oakland Raiders – Bush has been underwhelming as a starter apart from one game this season. Darren McFadden will return this week or next and Michael Bennett has declared himself fit to go – all will eat into Bush’s touches going forward.

WRs

TJ Houshmandzadeh – Baltimore Ravens – Housh has no more than three catches in any game so far this season. In his last two games he has identical stats. Two catches for 24 yards in each game – NOT HOT!

Eddie Royal – Denver Broncos – Royal appears to be the forgotten man in Denver. In his last two games, Royal has a total of 68 yards receiving on seven catches and no touchdowns.

Mike Sims-Walker – Jacksonville Jaguars – Mike is the quintessential “Flash in the Pan”. He has six catches for 62 yards combined in the last two games.
