Hot

QBs

Aaron Rodgers – Green Bay Packers – Rodgers has been a man possessed. On Sunday, he passed for 408 yards and four touchdowns while adding two scores on the ground. This after passing for three touchdowns in Week 3. Rodgers now has 12 passing touchdowns versus only two interceptions this season.

Eli Manning – New York Giants – Manning is playing some of his best football of the last couple of seasons. In the last two weeks, Manning has passed for six touchdowns and ZERO interceptions while averaging 287.5 yards in those games.

Cam Newton – Carolina Panthers – It is hard to believe but Newton is a viable starter this week against New Orleans. He has tossed 5 touchdowns in four games and has added four rushing scores. Despite only 158 yards passing in Week 3, Newton has averaged and astounding 346.5 yards passing per game.

RBs

Matt Forte – Chicago Bears – Forte has been an absolute beast this season. If he isn’t leading the team in rushing (205 yards in Week 4) he is leading the team in receiving (310 yards in 4 games this season). Forte is averaging 158 combined yards per game so far this season and is as Hot as they come.

Ryan Matthews – San Diego Chargers – Don’t’ look now but Ryan Matthews is starting to Heat up in a big way. In Week 4 he had 149 combined yards and now has 179 yards rushing and two scores on the ground in his last two contests and over 100 yards receiving in those games.

Arian Foster – Houston Texans – Arian Foster is back and is ready to claim his weekly spot on the Hot list. Foster had 155 yards on the ground in Week 4 and has Oakland on the schedule next week.

WRs

Calvin Johnson – Detroit Lions – Hot history has been made by Megatron. He is the first WR in the history of the NFL to have two touchdowns in each of his first four games. Eight scores in four games is Hot, Hot, Hot!

Wes Welker – New England Patriots – 40 catches, 616 yards and five touchdowns in four games. It is almost unfair!

Greg Jennings – Green Bay Packers – Jennings has scored in three of the four games that he has played this season and there is no reason to think that he will slow down any time soon. Jennings is averaging 91.5 yards per game.

Not Hot

QBs

Ben Roethlisberger – Pittsburgh Steelers – Big Ben has brutal Offensive Line issues and has suffered because of it. He has yet to throw more than one touchdown in any game this season (three total) and he has been an interception machine (five total) – not mentioning the fumbles! Now comes word of a badly sprained foot. In conclusion Ben is Not Hot.

Sam Bradford – St. Louis Rams – The bye couldn’t have come at a better time for Bradford who has averaged just 165 yards passing in his last two games. Bradford has just two touchdowns and one interception over that span and once he returns has Green Bay at Lambeau to deal with. [ad-8469823]

Kyle Orton – Denver Broncos – Orton is hearing the calls for Tim Tebow loud and clear and rightfully so. Orton has averaged just 214 yards per game in his last three while throwing five interceptions. If he is your starter, I am sorry!

RBs

Rashard Mendenhall – Pittsburgh Steelers – Mendenhall has a total of 173 yards this season on 58 carries, good for a terrible 3.0 yards per game. 5 total catches for 21 yards through the air are Not Hot numbers!

Shonn Greene – New York Jets – Greene has been brutal this season and is as Not Hot as they come. In four games this season, he has a total of 157 yards rushing and 60 yards receiving. What is more troubling is the fact that he has only one score and he appears to be losing touches to LaDainian Tomlinson.

DeAngelo Williams – Carolina Panthers – Williams actually had an OK game in Week 4 (82 yards rushing). But a look at his season numbers proves that he is Not Hot! Williams has rushed for just 143 yards in four games and has yet to find the end zone. Jonathan Stewart is the better runner in Carolina – better than the rich and Not Hot Williams.

WRs

Roy Williams – Chicago Bears – Williams had four catches in Week 1 and was then injured for Week 2. He came back Week 3 and went without a catch in the game. He finally registered another catch Week 4 for just 15 yards – Not Hot!

Mike Sims-Walker – St. Louis Rams – Sims-Walker had a productive Week 2 but in the other three games that he’s played this season, he has a total of five catches for 47 yards – brutal!

Deion Branch – New England Patriots – After a productive first two weeks of the season, Branch has suddenly gone Not Hot! He has just one catch for four yards in his last two outings, although that catch was of the touchdown variety.
