HOT

QBs

Ryan Fitzpatrick – Buffalo Bills – What the? The Bills, 3-0? Must be a mistake! Fitzpatrick showed that his team is never out of a game and is as Hot as any QB in the game. Fitzpatrick has averaged 280 yards passing per game has nine touchdowns and three interceptions so far.

Matthew Stafford – Detroit Lions – Stafford had a slow start to his Week 3 game but in true Hot form sizzled in the second half on the way to a Detroit victory. He has averaged 326 yards passing this season, has thrown nine touchdowns versus just two interceptions. Stafford is second in the NFL with a 110 passer rating.

Matt Hasselbeck – Tennessee Titans – Hasselbeck has quietly averaged 310 yards passing this season and led his team to yet another victory on Sunday with 311 yards, two touchdowns and zero interceptions. Believe it or not, he’s Hot!

RBs

Darren McFadden – Oakland Raiders – McFadden leads the NFL in rushing with an average of 131 yards per game. His 171 yards and two scores against the tough Jets defense make Run DMC the hottest player in the game.

Fred Jackson – Buffalo Bills – Not only is Jackson rewarding his owners with superb rushing numbers but he is also getting his share of receiving yards as well. With an average of 101 yards on the ground and three touchdowns along with stellar receiving totals, Jackson is certainly Hot.

Daniel Thomas – Miami Dolphins – Move over Reggie Bush! There’s a new Hot Sherriff in town. Daniel Thomas has been sizzling in the past two games. 107 yards rushing in his first game and 95 yards on the ground combined with 27 yards and a touchdown through the air in his second.

WRs

Wes Welker – New England Patriots – On Fire! Welker has 16 catches for 217 yards and two touchdowns on Sunday and leads the NFL with 31 catches and 458 yards already!

Mike Wallace – Pittsburgh Steelers – Make that six straight Regular Season games that Wallace has gone over 100 yards. This season he is averaging 126 yards receiving per game and has scored two touchdowns.

Calvin Johnson – Detroit Lions – Megatron has scored two touchdowns in each of his first 3 games! 6 touchdowns so far make him worthy of the Hot list. [ad-8469823]

Rob Gronkowski – New England Patriots – Gronk has at least one touchdown in five straight regular season games. He has scored five times already this season including a 7 catch. 109 yard, two touchdown performance on Sunday.

Honourable Mention: Greg Jennings – Green Bay Packers, Andre Johnson – Houston Texans

NOT HOT

QBs

Sam Bradford – St. Louis Rams – Ugh! Bradford had an OK Week 2 game but in the other two contests this season, he has averaged 179 yards passing and has just one touchdown along with one interception. It may not all be his fault but there`s no denying that Bradford is not Hot.

Josh Freeman – Tamp Bay Buccaneers – For those of you that are depending on Josh Freeman, I am truly sorry. On Sunday he has just 180 yards passing, ZERO touchdowns and two interceptions. On the season Freeman has averaged 227 yards passing while throwing a total of two touchdowns and four picks!

Matt Cassel – Kansas City Chiefs – Oh Matt! He had his best game of the season on Sunday – 176 yards, two touchdowns and a game changing interception. Cassel is averaging just 143 yards passing this season with three touchdowns and five interceptions – Not Hot!

RBs

Rashard Mendenhall – Pittsburgh Steelers – Mendenhall was brutal on Sunday night – 18 carries for 37 yards! On the season Rashard has averaged 49 yards rushing per game and has scored just one time – Not Hot!

Chris Johnson – Tennessee Titans – Johnson is getting some receiving yards but as a rusher and scorer he is Not Hot. Johnson has averaged just 32.6 yards rushing per game this season and has not scored!

DeAngelo Williams – Carolina Panthers – Not sure what is going on here. Williams was the third best rusher on his own team Sunday! After three weeks he has a total of 61 yards rushing and zero scores – seriously!

Honourable Mention: Frank Gore – San Francisco 49ers, Cedric Benson – Cincinnati Bengals, Reggie Bush – Miami Dolphins, Jahvid Best – Detroit Lions

WRs

Percy Harvin – Minnesota Vikings – Harvin is the best receiving option on the Vikings by a mile. But he has averaged just 43 yards receiving per game and hasn’t seen the end zone yet.

Chad Ochocinco – New England Patriots – It is clear that Ocho simply isn`t a big part of this offense and that he is a deserving member of the Not Hot list. He has just 5 catches for 87 yards and no scores on the year.

Mike Williams – Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Wow! Williams actually has minus four yards receiving last week and had 43 in Week 3. He has a total of 89 yards receiving through three weeks and has yet to score a touchdown – Not Hot!
