HOT + NOT For Week 16 Fantasy Football

Looking for Internet Fantasy Predictions then look no further than our Dave B our fantasy expert weighing in on weekly fantasy football topics for Week 16 action…

Hot and Not – Week 16

If you are in need of a HOT fantasy football player these Top Hot players for the week should help you out if they’re in your lineup. They may also be free agents on your waiver wire.

If you need to dump a lame duck on your team, these NOTS should be them. Throw em in the trash if you can afford to not have them on your bench. Fantasy Football always favors the prepared mind.

The more research you do, and the more HOT players you have to choose from on your team, the better your odds are of winning your fantasy football league outright this year.

After all of the weekly games are finished be sure to check our waiver wire column, studs and duds, a who’s hot, and who’s not report plus more in our fantasy football guide.

Good Luck!

Hot

QBs

Michael Vick – Philadelphia Eagles – Vick is insane – The most valuable player in my opinion! His energy is giving the Eagles belief. In his last four games, he is responsible for 12 touchdowns (9 passing and 3 rushing), has averaged 286.6 yards passing and nearly 60 yards rushing per game. You do the math – HOT!

Philip Rivers – San Diego Chargers – Rivers Fantasy numbers have come down a bit but figure that he has only attempted 49 passes in his last two games and has completed 37 of them and realize that it is not bad. Now with Vincent Jackson back in the fold, things become a lot Hotter for Rivers. He`s got Cincinnati and Denver remaining – cha ching!

Jon Kitna – Dallas Cowboys – Kitna threw for 305 yards and two touchdowns against Washington and has multiple touchdowns in two straight games. He`s got brutal Arizona up next and could easily go for 300 again this week.

RBs

Chris Johnson – Tennessee Titans – The Chris Johnson slump appears to be over. He has rushed for a combined 241 yards in his last two games and has scored in each. Johnson has also caught the ball out of the backfield and is once again the rightful centerpiece of the offense.

Ray Rice – Baltimore Ravens – Hopefully the Baltimore coaches get it – get the ball to Ray Rice and good things will happen! In Week 14, he touched the ball 27 times – he had a big game and Baltimore won. In Week 15 he had 36 touches and an enormous game – the Ravens win! Against Cleveland, expect much of the same.

Darren McFadden – Oakland Raiders – McFadden has been a beast in the last three games especially. He has averaged 113 yards rushing in those three and has scored three times on the ground. He is also averaging 52 yards receiving in those games and has scored once – HOT!

WRs

Vincent Jackson – San Diego Chargers – VJax is back and there is nobody happier that Philip Rivers. Finally someone dependable to throw the money ball to! Jackson has caught five passes in two straight games and proved that he has Rivers’ eye with 112 yards and three touchdowns last Thursday night. Those of you who waited on this guy – Congratulations!

DeSean Jackson – Philadelphia Eagles – That`s Mr. Jackson to you and I. He has provided the Football world with some incredible season changing plays in the last two weeks. His Fantasy game wasn’t all that great on Sunday, but C`mon – he`s HOT!

Andre Johnson – Houston Texans – Johnson has scored in three of his last four games and although he did not break the 140 yard receiving plateau on Sunday, he did catch six balls and he did score. Against Denver, he should be huge – he has to be if the Texans hope to win.

Not Hot

QBs

Ben Roethlisberger – Pittsburgh Steelers – For Fantasy purposes, Big Ben hasn`t been all that Hot. He has only thrown one touchdown in his last two games and with inclement weather becoming a factor; Rashard Mendenhall is becoming the offense in Pittsburgh. Sloppy game against a good Carolina pass defense is up next.

Carson Palmer – Cincinnati Bengals – Palmer has been brutal and if you are relying on him, I`m sorry! He has only one touchdown pass in his last two games and he has thrown four interceptions. Plus, Terrell Owens is gone for the year. Top ranked defense San Diego is up next for Carson and the boys.

Mark Sanchez – NY Jets – It`s hard to believe when I look at the stats but Sanchez hasn`t throw a touchdown in three games and he`s tossed four interceptions in those games. Sanchez has only averaged 179 yards passing in his last four – NOT HOT!

RBs

Fred Jackson – Buffalo Bills – Jackson has been horribly Hot or Miss and after the Miami game, I have to put Jackson in the Not Hot category. With the Bills certain to be down early against New England, Jackson`s touches will certainly be limited

Thomas Jones – Kansas City Chiefs – Jones finally scored after five weeks but the fact is that he is a clear 2nd fiddle in Kansas City. He`s a nice player but he is certainly not a Hot Fantasy option.

Jahvid Best – Detroit Lions – I thought that Best was injured – That`s how invisible he`s been. He has gotten 10 touches per game in his last three and has averaged about 50 yards per game. It is official – Best is a Bust.

WRs

Michael Crabtree – San Francisco 49ers – Just like the rest of his team – so much promise, so little production. I thought that it couldn’t get any worse Week 14 and 15 came along – a combined four catches for 18 yards!

Dwayne Bowe – Kansas City Chiefs – Bowe was hoping that the return of Matt Cassel would kick start his stats once again but he only had two catches in Week 14. Against Tennessee, I would imagine that the Chiefs are going to stick with their bread and butter – the Run, which hurts Bowe.
