Hot and Not – Week 14

If you are in need of a HOT fantasy football player these Top Hot players for the week should help you out if they’re in your lineup. They may also be free agents on your waiver wire.

If you need to dump a lame duck on your team, these NOTS should be them. Throw em in the trash if you can afford to not have them on your bench. Fantasy Football always favors the prepared mind.

The more research you do, and the more HOT players you have to choose from on your team, the better your odds are of winning your fantasy football league outright this year.

Hot

QBs

Tom Brady – New England Patriots – Two games in a row with or near a perfect quarterback rating is certainly Hot! In Brady’s last four games, he has passed for 1203 yards, 13 touchdowns and zero interceptions! He has gone over 300 in his last two and has thrown eight TDs.

Michael Vick – Philadelphia Eagles – Are you sick of the heart warming Mike Vick comeback stories yet? Despite it all, Vick has been Hot. In his last four games, he has averaged 306.5 yards passing with 8 TDs and 2 interceptions while rushing for an average of 51.5 yards and hitting pay dirt 4 times

Aaron Rodgers – Green Bay Packers – Rodgers is smokin’ too. He is averaging over 300 yards passing in his last four and has been responsible for 9 touchdowns in his last three games (8 passing, 1 rushing). – Hot!

Drew Brees – New Orleans Saints – Brees is heating up folks! In his last three games, he is averaging 350 yards passing and has thrown 7 touchdowns. We’ll excuse the 4 interceptions over that time!

RBs

Maurice Jones-Drew – Jacksonville Jaguars – The little man that could has gone over 100 yards in his last 5 games, culminating in a 186 yard performance last week! Some more touchdowns would be nice (just 1 in his last 3 games) but there is still no denying that MJD is Hot!

Arian Foster – Houston Texans – Foster is a combined yards machine! In his last three games he has averaged 103 yards on the ground and scored three touchdowns while averaging 53 yards receiving over that span and scoring once.

Jamaal Charles – Kansas City Chiefs – Thomas Jones seems to be less of a factor as the season has worn on. In Jamaal’s last two games, he has averaged 144.5 yards per game and has hit pay dirt once. Hot!

WRs

Greg Jennings – Green Bay Packers – Jennings is my boy! In his last three games, Greg has averaged 131 yards and he has scored 5 times. Hot Hot Hot!

Reggie Wayne – Indianapolis Colts – Finally showed up and deserves to be on the list based on his Week 13 alone! In that game, he has 14 catches for 200 yards and a touchdown. Now that Peyton has remembered who his meal ticket is, let’s hop Wayne remains Hot!

Not Hot

QBs

Donovan McNabb – Washington Redskins – I like Donovan but his recent play is Not Hot. He has averaged just one passing touchdown in his last three games and has thrown four interceptions over that span. He hasn’t completed more than 60% of his passes in four weeks.

Troy Smith – San Francisco 49ers – Move over Troy, it looks like Alex Smith is about to replace you! Troy hasn’t been over 200 yards passing in three weeks and has tossed just two TDs and three picks over that span.

Ryan Fitzpatrick – Buffalo Bills – Fitz has really come back down to earth after a scorching period in November. In his last two games, he has averaged 211.5 yards passing per game, one touchdown and one interception.

RBs

Chris Johnson – Tennessee Titans – Ugh! That`s about all I can say. In his last two games, Johnson has rushed for a combined 58 yards. Unacceptable!

LaDainian Tomlinson – NY Jets – Tomlinson has not scored a touchdown in four weeks and has failed to reach 50 yards rushing in his last three. He`s Not Hot folks, just as Chargers fans like it!

Brandon Jackson – Green Bay Packers – Jackson has done nothing out of the backfield for the Green Bay Packers and now it appears that he has lost his starting job to James Starks.

Indianapolis RBs – The Colts have been an embarrassment and can take some responsibility for Manning’s recent struggles. Their brutal play has given opposing defences no reason to respect their talents at all.

WRs

Braylon Edwards – NY Jets – Edwards has two receptions in each of his last two games for a combined 59 yards. He’s getting the targets but isn’t making the catches and is as Not Hot as they come!

Santana Moss – Washington Redskins – Santana has been a virtual no-show in the last two games and prospects for an uptick in production seem slim. In his last two games, Moss has a combined seven grabs for 64 yards!

Steve Johnson – Buffalo Bills – Steve Johnson – where have you gone? After his three touchdown game in Week 11, Johnson has combined for nine catches and 104 yards with no scores in his last two games – Not as Hot as we need at playoff time!
