Week 9 of the NFL schedule promises to be yet another superb one, both for the average fans and for the Fantasy Football world. There are plenty of story lines that I will be watching this week with great interest. There are teams returning from byes, teams looking to rebound from bad losses last week, undefeated teams, and players looking to build on good season debuts. Of course there are injury concerns as well – one’s that will undoubtedly impact Fantasy decisions for the upcoming Week.

HEY FANTASY FOOTBALLERS!!!! EVER BET ON AN NFL GAME???? TRY OUR EXPERT PICKS!! —–>

So here we go with this Week’s edition of the Watchlist Q & A.

Welcome to the Week 9 Watchlist Q & A (or something like that). It should be an interesting week indeed, full of stimulating story lines. There are teams returning from bye weeks, some key injuries and there are some HUGE games on tap this weekend.

Here is what I will be watching this week – enjoy.

1. How will the teams returning from byes fare this week?

Buffalo Bills -They will get Trent Edwards back – YAY!!!!! The running game has to get it going. Marshawn Lynch and Fred Jackson are way better than they have showing. If they can run the ball effectively, it might open up the passing game – let all hope so.

Minnesota Vikings – On fire coming out of the bye, a rested Vikings team gets the honor of playing the Lions this week. A lot of the little injuries got to heal – Should be a productive afternoon for all of the Vikings – that’s for certain.

NY Jets – Coming into this week the same team as we last saw. They are gonna run the ball!!! With a week off to study – Sanchez will a better game manager. Look for the Jets to rebound and challenge for a playoff spot.

Oakland Raiders – Darren McFadden is due to come back – YAY!!!!

St. Louis Rams – Don’t even know where to start!

Cleveland Browns – Brady Quinn has retaken the starting QB role – YAY!!!

2. What kind of magic will the “on fire” quarterbacks bring upon their opposition this week?

Peyton Manning – Indianapolis – Playing in THE most anticipated game on the NFL schedule this week, Manning is going to have to throw to keep up with his counterpart. We know that Manning isn’t afraid to throw – he’s attempted 98 passes in the last 2 games. Buckle up folks and watch the fireworks.

Tom Brady – New England – Ditto for Brady except Brady gets to face a Defense that will be without 3 Defensive starters – including all-world Bob Sanders.

Tony Romo – Dallas – Goes into Green Bay playing the best Football of his career. The Packers Defense isn’t that good and Romo should be able to pick them apart with ease. Add in the fact that it promises to be a high scoring game and Romo seems to be in line for another big week.

Kurt Warner – Arizona – Threw 5 touchdowns on the road last week – now Warner’s at home against a terrible Seattle Defense. With Larry Fitzgerald playing the way he is – Warner’s destined to stay “on fire” this week.

3. Can th scorching Running Backs keep their pace?

DeAnglelo Williams – Carolina – He’s been on quite a role of late – now he faces a Defense that has been run on all year. Lets face it folk – Williams IS the Panthers’ Offense. He’s gonna get the ball 20-25 time and do some damage for sure.

Chris Johnson – Tennessee – This dude is NUTS right now – he simply can’t be stopped. This week, he has the pleasure of facing the ultra soft Buffalo Defense. He could run for 400 yards this week.

Michael Turner – Atlanta – Up against Carolina who’s Defense is middle of the pack. It doesn’t really matter either way, Turner is a workhorse who will keep on tearing it up. Would you wanna tackle him?

Cedric Benson – Cincinnati – Cedric the Entertainer!!! You have been a Stud all year. Benson faces a tough test this week – against the top rated Defense of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Gonna be a tough day, but Benson will find a way – just a hunch!!

4. Has there ever been a Week 10 with so many Big Games?

New England @ Indianapolis – It’s gonna be a fun one – that’s for sure. 2 high powered Offenses meet Prime Time on National television. Its gonna be a shootout and a sure fire classic – guaranteed

Cincinnati @ Pittsburgh – Big game that will go a long way in determining the AFC North champ. Can Cincinnati complete the Pittsburgh/Baltimore sweep? Me thinks that Pitt. will prevail in a low scoring game.

Dallas @ Green Bay – Smells like a shootout in Green Bay doesn’t it? Both teams boast high powered Offenses and Defenses that aren’t that good. Tony Romo and the Cowboys are simply playing better football than the Green Bay Packers right now and for that reason, I think the Boys prevail.

Philadelphia @ San Diego – Big game for both of these teams. San Diego needs a win to keep pace with or even pull into a tie with Denver while Phili need to get back on track to keep an NFC East title within their grasp. Both teams will get their yards and scores through the air, but it will be the team that can run the ball that should win. I trust the Eagles running game more than San Diego’s.

5. Will some losing streaks come to an end?

New York Giants – On a Bye this week but its still worth noting – 4 LOSSES IN A ROW!!!!

San Francisco – Play at home against a reeling Chicago team that is ripe for the picking. Alex Smith looks pretty good at QB, Vernon Davis and Michael Crabtree are emerging stars. With Frank Gore to fall back on, the Niners look poised to do very well on THURSAY NIGHT – more to come about this game.

Denver – Best medicine for a 2 game losing streak? (OK maybe 3rd or 4th best) – The Washington Redskins. The Broncos should get back on track this week and have an easy time with the Redskins.

Washington – No Portis No chance!! It’s gonna be a tough day for the Skins.

Detroit – Cmon Calvin Johnson…Just Cmon!!!

Cleveland – Don’t wanna waste my time.

Oakland – Ditto

Kansas City – Boring!!!

6. What injuries will affect the outcome of Week 10?

Aaron Rodgers – Green Bay – Banged up but guaranteed to play.

Brett Favre – Minnesota – Ditto

Trent Edwards – Buffalo – Back from a concussion – will start Sunday.

Matt Hasselbeck – Seattle – Sore ribs and a newish shoulder injury. – Should still play.

Jason Campbell – Washington – Bum ankle – took some needed time off this week – he’ll play.

Matthew Stafford – Detroit – Limited in practice but should suit up

Clinton Portis – Washington – “very, very doubtful” to play. Laddell Betts will start.

Brian Westbrook – Philadelphia Concussion symptoms seem to be gone, but his bum ankle has flared up. Keep tabs on the situation.

DeAngelo Williams – Carolina – Sore knee kept him out of practice – not much concern however.

Donald Brown – Indianapolis – Shoulder injury seems to be fine – not on the injury report.

Sammy Morris – New England – At least 1 more week away from return.

Anquan Boldin – Arizona – Has practiced all week and looks good to go.

Brandon Marshall – Denver – Sore back but will play Sunday.

Terrell Owens – Buffalo – Mysterious hip injury – seems problematic – keep tabs indeed.

Calvin Johnson – Detroit – Will play this week and see an increased work load.

Roddy White – Atlanta – Sore knee – not much of a concern.

Antonio Bryant – Tampa Bay – still not practicing – doesn’t look good for a Sunday return.

Steve Breaston – Arizona – bum knee but expect him to play.

Chris Chambers – Kansas City – Limited in practice but should play this weekend.

7. How will the battle of 2 struggling teams turn out on Thursday night?

The Chicago Bears (4-4) were in San Francisco to meet the 3-5 San Francisco 49ers. Bit of a Dud game eh? Cutler threw for huge yardage but had 5 picks, while Alex Smith did nothing. Gore was huge, and Matt Forte caught 8 balls for 120 yards!!! Things might be looking up for Forte but certainly not for the Bears. Not much to say about this game except the true stars were the referees who got more air time than any player tonight.

There ya go folks. There is a lot of information to digest. I hope it helps – good luck this week!
