FANTASY GURUS – READY TO BET ON NFL WEEK 15? WE’VE GOT YOUR PICKS —–>

Week 15 is almost here and Fantasy playoffs are in full swing. There are certainly some good Fantasy matchups to ponder this week and a few key injury concerns to keep your eye on.

Below is a breakdown of every game and who should start and help you win the Fantasy Championship.

By all means, leave a comment or question and I will get back to you as soon as humanly possible!

San Francisco at San Diego 8:20 PM

The 49ers had a Fantasy field day last week against Seattle. Would I expect another one? Heck no! Against the NFL’s best overall defense, the only player that I would trust for the 49ers is Vernon Davis. Everyone else is too risky for my liking. For San Diego, go with Philip Rivers of course but maybe stay away from the running game. Three members of that attack got over 60 yards last week and they could cancel each other out. If I had to choose on, it would be Mike Tolbert. Vincent Jackson should play and is a good start as is Malcolm Floyd. Monitor Antonio Gates this week – he’s iffy to play and could be a risk. Start the Chargers defense.

Cleveland at Cincinnati 1:00 PM

Peyton Hillis continues to be the only automatic for the Browns although Ben Watson should bounce back from a brutal performance last week and have a good game. For Cincinnati, can you trust Cedric Benson anymore? If you have nobody else, start him but expect an average at best game. Carson Palmer should be OK as should Terrell Owens and Ochocinco. Everyone on the Bengals has been inconsistent – I have no idea what to think!

Washington at Dallas 1:00 PM

I think that this could be a shootout making Donovan McNabb an OK start this week. Ryan Torain is good to go and I think that Santana Moss and Chris Cooley are great plays this week. For Dallas, don`t hesitate to use Jon Kitna, Miles Austin or Jason Whitten this week. The 2nd WR spot is a risk in Dallas – no idea who will get the ball between Kevin Ogletree and Roy Williams. As far as the rushers go, my choice would be Choice – he gets the Red Zone touches.

Houston at Tennessee 1:00 PM

You have to play Matt Schaub, Arian Foster and Andre Johnson this week after what they showed against Baltimore. Owen Daniels has re-emerged and is worth a look as well. It`s hard to like anyone on the Titans except for Chris Johnson. I think that Kenny Britt is the best option in the passing game and view him as a WR3 this week.

Jacksonville at Indianapolis 1:00 PM

Maurice Jones-Drew is unbenchable at this point. The only other Jag that I trust is Marcedes Lewis –  period! For Indianapolis, Peyton Manning, Reggie Wayne, Pierre Garcon and Jacob Tamme are automatic. If there is a sleeper on the Colts – it may be Javarris James who could break out this week and score.

Kansas City at St. Louis 1:00 PM

This game is all about Matt Cassel and his availability. If he plays, he may not be the best option but Dwayne Bowe and Tony Moeaki become relevant. If he doesn`t play, ignore the whole Chiefs passing game. Either way, Jamaal Charles is an automatic start. I actually like a few of the Rams particularly at home. Don`t be ashamed to start Sam Bradford if you are stuck, Steven Jackson could be a fine play and Brandon Gibson and Danny Amendola could be decent in PPR leagues.

Buffalo at Miami 1:00 PM

The Miami defense has been good this year and with the recent decline of the Bills offense, there is not a whole lot to like in this game. Steve Johnson based on his mid-season play is the only Bill that I would consider. Ditto for Miami – there is nobody performing well on their offense! Ronnie Brown may be just OK as may Davone Bess but the rest are a huge risk this week.

Philadelphia at NY Giants 1:00 PM

The Giants defense has been solid to say the least. Still, Michael Vick, LeSean McCoy, DeSean Jackson and even Jeremy Maclin should be in your lineups. For the Giants, I like Eli to have to throw the ball in this game so start him as a low end QB1. Of the two running backs, I would surely choose Ahmad Bradshaw over Brandon Jacobs – he is getting more touches. Hakeem Nicks is back and should be used as should Kevin Boss who has scored in four of his last five games. I would try to avoid the defenses if possible – this could be a shootout.

Detroit at Tampa Bay 1:00 PM

Not a whole lot to like about the Lions right now – the only sure-fire starter is Calvin Johnson. For Tampa, LaGarrette Blount is a very attractive option this week as is Mike Williams and Kellen Winslow. Start all three but beware of the inconsistent Josh Freeman. He could be OK but offers up a huge risk.

Arizona at Carolina 1:00 PM

John Skelton will start at quarterback for the Cards this week meaning that the Arizona passing game should be avoided if possible. Larry Fitzgerald will likely have to be started but seriously temper your expectations. Tim Hightower will be good this week and is a Top 20 play in my books. For Carolina, the only player worth looking at is Jonathan Stewart. He is the offense and should be good again this week.

New Orleans at Baltimore 1:00 PM

The Baltimore defense shouldn`t scare the Saints in this one. Roll with Drew Brees, Marques Colston and even Robert Meacham in this one. If you are stuck for a Tight End, Jimmy Graham could be OK too. The running game is cloudy. Ivory, Bush and Pierre Thomas will all get their share of touches – avoid if possible. For Baltimore, I like Joe Flacco to be throwing in this game. He, Anquan Boldin and Derrick Mason are all very attractive options this week. Ray Rice should also produce good but unspectacular numbers.

Atlanta at Seattle 4:05 PM

Seattle`s defense can`t stop anyone. Matt Ryan, Michael Turner, Roddy White and Tony Gonzalez all have to be in your lineups. Harry Douglas is a super-sleeper as well this week. For Seattle, Mike Williams is set to return. Expect double digit targets as usual and a good game – start. If Ben Obomanu plays, he could be a low end WR3. Matt Hasselbeck is simply an OK option this week largely because of the presence of Mike Williams.

Denver at Oakland 4:15 PM

Denver scares the crap out of me! Orton and Lloyd are struggling mightily but if they have gotten you this far, you may want to roll with them this week. Scary thought though! Knowshon Moreno might be the only productive Bronco. For Oakland, Darren McFadden is a no-brainer but the rest of the team is a bit of a risk. If you are a gambler, take a shot at Jason Campbell and Zach Miller – I wouldn`t however!

NY Jets at Pittsburgh 4:15 PM

Does anyone have any faith in the Jets against the Steelers defense this week? The only player that I would consider is Santonio Holmes for the Jets this week. For Pittsburgh, I like Big Ben this week and Mike Wallace. Hines ward is a WR3 and Rashard Mendenhall is a low end starter. Start both defenses in what should be a low scoring game.

Green Bay at New England 8:20 PM

Aaron Rodgers hasn`t been at practice yet this week so things don`t look good for the Packers. If Rodgers plays start him, Greg Jennings and Donald Driver of course. If Rodgers doesn`t play. Greg Jennings and Andrew Quarless are the only trustworthy starters this week for Green Bay. For New England, start everyone. Brady, Welker and Branch are great options as well as BenJarvus Green-Ellis who will likely score. If Matt Flynn starts for Green Bay, the Patriots defense becomes an intriguing starter as well.

Chicago at Minnesota 8:30 PM

Chicago looked bad in Week 14 but I think they bounce back against the Vikings on Monday night. Jay Cutler should be a decent start along with Johnny Knox and Greg Olsen in this one. Matt Forte is an OK start but temper your expectations against a good Minnesota run defense. Start Chicago`s defense – they are a Top 5 defense this week. For Minnesota, I have little faith in the QB situation, whatever it may bring! Adrian Peterson is basically unbenchable but may have a tough game against Chicago`s defense. Sidney Rice and Percy Harvin (assuming he plays) are also decent options. The Minnesota defense could generate a few turnovers in this one so keep them active.

With Charles, McFadden, AP, and Jonathan Stewart, I’m thinking about benching AP for Stewart.

Am I mad?

Or a mad genius?

Help me fantasy world! I’m currently interning and need the cash that Fantasy Football victory will bring!

week 15 is the championship game for me…ESPN standard PPR League, just wondering what the best lineup would be…

Qb: T Brady (vs GB)
RB1: L McCoy (@ NYG)
RB2: R Brown (vs BUF)
FLEX: V Jackson (vs SF)
WR1: A Johnson (@ TEN)
WR2: M Manningham (vs PHI)
TE: J Witten (vs WAS)
DEF: Atlanta (@ SEA)
K: D Akers (@ NYG)

BUT I HAVE ON MY BENCH…

JETS D (@ PIT), M LYNCH (vs ATL), N WASHINGTON (vs HOU), B OBOMANU (vs ATL), M SIMS WALKER (@ IND), A BENN (vs DET), J FORD (vs DEN)

…AND MIGHT DROP FORD TO GET ARIZONA D (@ CAR)…

I like Brown’s matchup this week…
Jackson is apparently healthy for once…
I like Manningham, if hes starting, since S Smith is on IR…
I like ATL D since seattle is a weak offense and hasselback tends to turn it over…

What do u think about this lneup, would u change anything? thanks

Having a hard time deciding whether to start a short-rested Malcom Floyd this week or Mike Williams (TB). Help me!!!

I need two of three RBs.

Adrian Peterson, Reggie Bush, and Ladainian Tomlinson

I need three of the five WRs.

Derrick Mason, Austin Miles, Santonio Holmes, Sidney Rice, and Jacoby Ford.

I am in a PPR league, that awards special teams play 35 yards=1 pt. bonus at 135 yards. LT looks worn out, so I am pushing with Bush. QB situation is too iffy for Rice and Louis Murphy makes Ford a but too risky. I have to waiver option, so this is it. Thanks in advance for the advice.

Gandalf,

I don’t think you are mad at all! But, check to see who is starting at QB for the Vikes before deciding for sure. If it is Tavarris of Ramsy, NOBODY will respect the pass and stack eight in the box.

I Favre plays, it may open up some running room for AP.

Fantasy Football is gambling my friend! Roll the dice and take a chance on Stewart, especially if Minnesota is without Favre!

Dave B

EL

I might stick with the Jets defense. The Steelers have really struggled on offense and this looks like a 13-10 game to me.
Check back on Manningham – he is a tad banged up but I do like him if he is healthy!
VJax will be huge this week!

I think you are on the right track – i would just consider your D – that’s about it!

Good Luck,

Dave B

Trev,

Floyd and Williams are neck and neck in my rankings! It is a total coin flip to me but I would go with Floyd knowing that Rivers is likely to pass for 300 and Freeman will likely only go for 220!

Super close in my eyes – you can’t go wrong with either!

Dave B

Tom,

Ugh on the running backs! Bad matchup all around! Gotta go AP and Tomlinson – they will simply be a bigger part of their team’s offense.

As for the WRs, I would rank them in this order:

1) austin
2) Holmes
3) mason
4) Rice
5) ford

Good luck!

Dave B

great site!!!!!!!

have to pick 4
tolbert
brandon marshall
steven jackson
matt forte
kenny britt

qb
kitna
freeman
garard

Ok so I’m having a tough time with my roster this week, but I think I have it right:

QB Michael Vick
RB Adrian Peterson
RB Peyton Hillis
RB/WR Steven Jackson
WR Malcom Floyd
WR Roddy White
TE Mercedes Lewis
OP Joe Flacco
D/ST Steelers D/ST
K David Akers

Bench: Mike Williams (TB), Pierre Thomas, Percy Harvin, Alex Smith, Kerry
Collins, Mike Goodson (CAR), Patriots D/ST, Matt Bryant

The rules are standard ESPN rules and are NOT points per catch for receivers. Obviously, Vick, Hillis, Jackson, White, Lewis, Steelers, and Akers are locks. The only players that scare me are AP, Floyd, and Flacco. If Favre doesn’t play, do you think it would be beneficial to sit AP, move Jackson into the RB slot, and start Mike Williams in the flex? If I should start AP, should I keep Floyd in or Mike Williams? And finally, do you think Alex Smith or Kerry Collins are better choices for Flacco this week? Also, Mike Williams (SEA), Kevin Boss, and James Starks are available in the free agent wire if any of those are good choices.

Thanks

Hey fellas…….i have a tough one this week and need some advice. I have MJD leshawn mccoy and tim hightower. Who do i roll with?

i’m stuck on a flex player.. Fred jacksons been good lately but is it smarter to go with Santonio holmes?

Doug,

Thanks for the feedback – sorry for not getting to you earlier.

From your first list, the player I would sit is Marshall believe it or not. He an Henne have been absolutely brutal and i think the other matchups are way too favorable to ignore.

At QB it’s Kitna allthe way – he’s good for 250 yards and two touchdowns almost guaranteed!

Dave B

All I do is Win,

Love the optimism!

Firstly, I do think that AP is a huge risk this week on a frozen field, against a great defense on a team that is obviously not going to throw the ball. I think you are onto something by moving Steven Jackson up and using wither of the Mike Williams dudes.

pick up seattle mike Williams and he could be your ticket to some Fantasy love this week! I would steer clear of ap until I see Joe Webb!

Dave B

Matthew,

I would rank them in order of MJD, McCoy and Hightower (think that Hightower maybe had too much spinach before last week’s game)!

MJD is the man right now and against Indy’s brutal run D – you are in good position.

McCoy will be good as well especially in PPR leagues!

Dave B

bears 123,

I was on the Fred Jackson wagon but now I have fallen off. The Fins did a great job of slowing down the Jets #2 running game last week so I would be wary of Jackson (CJ Spiller may get a few more touches this week too).

The Jets won’t be able to run the ball this week against Pitt – they are going to have to throw. Holmes is by far the best receiver for the jets. I think he is good for 6 catches, 80 yards and a score.

Choose Holmes.

Dave B

First,

thank you for all the advice I used from this site all season long. I made the playoffs with 3 of 4 teams, pretty good for my first year.

Anyway, got a delimna, got to start a WR, because FLOYD bombed out on me and I was counting on him covering the weaker wr’s I have. I have Gaffney, and Roy DIDifumbledaball Williams. Should I go with one of them are try and get someone else. Pickings is slim, would armstrong be comparable?

HELP!

Mole Hill Gang

I’m having a hard time choosing which 3 WR to start. I have Santonio holmes, mike Wallace, Derrick mason, Larry Fitzgerald, Kenny britt, mike Williams (sea), Robert meachem and possibly Hakeem nicks to choose from. Please help with suggestions thanks!

Who should I start benjarvus green-ellis or jonathan stewart and a choice between two of these peirre garcon or anquan boldin or brad smith thank you.

Nicholas

Mole Hill Gang,

If Mike Williams is available (Seattle) – grab him. I thought that Roy Williams would be good when Dez Bryant went down but Kevin Ogletree stepped up. That’s how little faith the cowboys have in Williams. Kenny Britt is another name you could take a shot at – Armstrong isn’t a good option since the Skins have benched Donovan McNabb in favor of Rx Gross-man!

Dave B

Edward chao,

Nice stable of receivers you have. Mike Williams is an automatic start to me – he will get 10-15 targets and will catch most of them. Nicks is also in my top 10. With Steve Smith out and Mario manningham dinged up, Nicks will be the man for NY.Britt, Wallace and Holmes are a tossup but with troy polomalu out for this game, Homes would be my choice – he is Sanchez’s red zone guy!

Dave B

Nicholas,

I love Jonathan Stewart this week – he is in my top 10 for RBs against a brutal Arizona defense.

Garcon and Boldin are both fine starts – don’t hesitate on those two!

Ok got to choose between: Britt, williams (sea), benn,. My other wr is CJ, and floyd who didn’t play and I didn’t get to change, so no points there. Need mad help here.
