Week 11 is here and it brings a full slate of games. The fantasy playoffs are right around the corner –  time to either solidify your standing or make a final push toward a playoff spot.

Take a gander at Dave B’s Week 11 Start and Sit – Fantasy Matchups, make solid choices and Good Luck this week!

Chicago at Miami

Aside from the Bears D (Which you would have started anyways) there’s no one fantasy worthy I would have played in this game.

Buffalo at Cincinnati 1:00 PM

For Buffalo, Fred Jackson is the only green light option this week. Ryan Fitzpatrick is only a desperation start for me this week as is Steve Johnson. Johnson may be a decent WR3. For Cincinnati, Cedric Benson gets to go against the league’s worst run defense – start him and if he doesn’t produce, you will know it is time to stick him on the bench from now on. Not sure out of Ochocinco and TO to start – both are capable of huge numbers but are also capable of a flop. I would start either or both if they were on my team. Tight End Jermaine Gresham has emerged and deserves a start this week after last week’s showing.

Detroit at Dallas 1:00 PM

This has potential to be the highest scoring game of the weekend. For Detroit, don’t be scared of Shaun Hill and always start Calvin Johnson! Brandon Pettigrew is a nice option as well. The Lions running game scares me – Jahvid Best has barely over a 36 yards per game average in his last four. For Dallas, I am starting everyone – Kitna, Felix Jones, Miles Austin, Dez Bryant and Jason Whitten are all worth taking a shot on.

Washington at Tennessee 1:00 PM

I am luke warm on Donovan McNabb but if you own him, you probably have to start him. His receivers, I am not sold on! About the only pass catching option that I trust is Chris Cooley. The Skins running game should be decent this week. Check back to see if it is Keiland Williams or Ryan Torain starting for Washington – the starter should be productive. For Tennessee, Chris Johnson is a weekly play but the rest of the roster is a bit of a gamble. At this time, I would bench Randy Moss although his presence should help Nate Washington. I don’t trust Vince Young either.

Arizona at Kansas City 1:00 PM

Arizona is bad – Larry Fitzgerald is a weekly play and Steve Breaston is an OK WR3 – that’s it for the Arizona Cardinals. For KC, Thomas Jones is on my bench – he has been brutal lately! Jamaal Charles, on the other hand has been great – he is unbenchable at this point. Dwayne Bowe has also graduated to every-week starter. Matt Cassel is a fringe starter at very best and Tony Moeaki is a top 10 tight end play this week.

Green Bay at Minnesota 1:00 PM

Green Bay is going to have a field day against Minnesota. Definitely start Aaron Rodgers and Greg Jennings. Whoever between Donald Driver or James Jones starts could be a valuable WR3 as well. Stay away from the Packers running game. For Minnesota, Adrian Peterson starts of course as does the only reliable passing target – Percy Harvin (assuming a migraine doesn’t keep him out!!!!) Visanthe Shiancoe will be useful as well, but that’s about it for the Vikings.

Houston at NY Jets 1:00 PM

You have to start Schaub, Foster and Andre Johnson this week for the Texans – remember the rule – NEVER BENCH YOUR STUDS. The Texans continue to have the worst defense in the land making everyone startable for the Jets. Yes, that even includes Mark Sanchez. He, LaDainian Tomlinson, Dustin Keller, Braylon Edwards and Santonio Holmes could all be useful with the WRs being a bit of a gamble because they could cancel each other out. If you are stuck you could even use Shonne Greene as a flex!

Oakland at Pittsburgh 1:00 PM

Oakland can run the ball but everyone has had a tough time rushing against the Steelers! I would still give Darren McFadden the benefit of the doubt. The only other Raider that I would consider is Zach Miller against a pissed off Pittsburgh defense. For the Steelers, don’t be afraid to plug any of the regulars into your lineups. Ben Roethlisberger, Rashard Mendenhall, Mike Wallace and the Pittsburgh defense are all good plays this week – check back on Hines Ward’s status even though he’s just a fringe starter at this point.

Baltimore at Carolina 1:00 PM

Baltimore has the only startable players in this game. Flacco, Rice, Boldin, Heap and the Baltimore defense are all great options this week. Derrick Mason, if healthy is a decent option as well!! Keep all Panthers on your bench – period!

Cleveland at Jacksonville 1:00 PM

This could actually be a high scoring game but Peyton Hillis and Ben Watson are the only sure-fire starters for Cleveland. Colt McCoy may be all right – but you wouldn’t think of starting him anyway. For Jacksonville, David Gerrard is on fire – roll with him for now. Maurice Jones-Drew is always a quality start and Mike Thomas has emerged as Gerrard’s favorite target. Start him and think about Marcedes Lewis as well.

Atlanta at St. Louis 4:05 PM

There is no way to bench Matt Ryan and Roddy White right now unless you have an elite QB on your squad. I like Michael Turner to have a bounce back week and Tony Gonzalez to be a fine start this week as well. For St. Louis, Steven Jackson is automatic and the duo of Danny Amendola and Brandon Gibson are worth a look – particularly in PPR leagues.

Seattle at New Orleans 4:05 PM

I don’t particularly trust any Seahawk this week, especially on the road. Figure on the Hawks trailing in this game, making Mike Williams a decent start. Stay away from the running game – Justin Forsett is closing in on a 50/50 split with Marshawn Lynch for touches. For New Orleans, Brees, Colston, Lance Moore and a finally healthy Reggie Bush should all be in your lineups.

Tampa Bay at San Francisco 4:05 PM

The only sure fire starter for the Buccaneers this week is Mike Williams. Josh Freeman is probably best left on your bench, but you could take a chance with LaGarrette Blount as a flex. Kellen Winslow should be more utilized this week as well. For the 49ers, never bench Frank Gore or Vernon Davis. They will be good this week as per usual. Michael Crabtree has emerged as a decent WR3 and could be started for you. The rest of the position players are low end fringe starters at best!

Indianapolis at New England 4:15 PM

I can’t wait for this one. With two bad defenses going head to head, this should be a scoring delight. Start Manning, Wayne, Collie and Tamme with confidence this week for Indianapolis. For New England, Tom Brady and Wes Welker should be big on Sunday. The Tight Ends on the Pats appear to be cancelling each other out but if forced to choose, I would take Rob Gronkowski first. I don’t trust any of the running games but I would consider BenJarvus Green-Ellis as a decent Sleeper against a bad Indy run defense.

NY Giants at Philadelphia 8:20 PM

Buckle up, another scoring bonanza is on tap. For the Giants, Eli Manning has been solid this season and deserves a start along with super-Stud, Hakeem Nicks. Ahmad Bradshaw should be a big factor in this game as well. For the Eagles, Michael Vick is as hot as they come. He and DeSean Jackson are no-brainers. I am not sure about a second receiver – Maclin may or may not play. Mario Manningham would start in his place if he is injured. The starting 2nd WR deserves WR3 consideration this week. Am I starting either defense? Hell no!

Denver at San Diego 8:30 PM

This is a tough game to predict right now for Fantasy because of the multitude of injuries on the Chargers. For Denver, Kyle Orton and Brandon Lloyd are automatic starts right now. Jabar Gaffney and Knowshon Moreno could be viewed as desperation flex players as well. For San Diego Malcolm Floyd and Legadu Naanee are supposed to return this week but Antonio Gates is very iffy. Still, Rivers is a Top 5 play as always. The starting receivers on the Chargers definitely warrant a look and so does Gates, only of he suits up. Despite Denver’s brutal run defense, I am still staying away from the Chargers running game.

Good Luck and may the Fantasy Gods be with you!

WR: Calvin Johnson vs Dal, Bowe vs Ari, Breaston vs KC, Williams (Seattle) vs NO, Mike Thomas vs Cle
RB: Steve Jax vs Ari, BenJarvus vs Indy, Run DMC vs PItt
Te: Hernandez or Gresham

WHo should i start…with the available slots

THANKS

Hey Smit,

Pretty easy in my eyes

WR – Calvin Johnson and Bowe – congrats on having these two!!
RB – SJax, and Green-Ellis – Pittsburgh is gonna be pissed this week!
TE – Gresham – Hernandez and Grodkowski appear to be canelling each other out!

Thanks and Good luck!

I am starting Felix Jones over LeSean McCoy, but I doubt that Jones will perform and he is only being considered as a starter because of a lucky 71 yard TD reception. McCoy, I believe, is a safer option (even though he is facing a good Giant’s D) but Jones could be worth the risk. What should I do?

Format: 3wr, 2rb, 1te

Im in a 6 team league so all of the teams r stacked with good players. I need help with wide recievers sits and start. I have dwayne bowe, greg jennings, dez bryant, brandon llyod, mike williams (bucs).

Ahmed,

Thanks for the question.

I think that you are on to something – McCoy plays in a more reliable option and should find more room with the dynamic Phili, offense. I own Felix in one of my leagues andd don’t trust him just yet. The matchup favors felix but I like mccoy more this week.

Dave B

jmarc,

pretty nice problem to have!!

I would rank in this order – lloyd, jennings, bryant, bowe and williams (DUI Charge thursday night!!!)

Hey Robert,

Tough question here! In a PPR league, the safest bet by far is amendola – he has laso scored in three straight! I have no idea what to think about Bush – my guesss in that the Saints will ease him into action (he still hasn’t officially been cleared) and utilize Chris Ivory quite a bit. Keiland is a risk simply because Torain and Portis are both questionable this week. If both are active, williams becomes a non factor.

Thanks and keep the questions coming!

Dave B
