CFL Betting – Week 14 Hamilton Tiger-Cats vs Toronto Argonauts Predictions

The Battle of Ontario features two team that are both coming off wins from last week – the Tiger-Cats were very impressive in their 55-36 beat down of Calgary in Moncton and the Argos were less impressive in their uninspiring 25-24 win versus Winnipeg in a game that a late single point on a missed field goal was the difference.

Hamilton finally has one of the strongest most well balanced offenses in the CFL and they are getting results because of it. Kevin Glenn is playing much better of late and is tied for 2nd in the league with 18 touchdowns while Avon Cobourne is third in the CFL with 735 yards rushing and eight scores. Hamilton is balanced and they are dangerous on offense ranking 2nd in the CFL with an average of 29.2 points scored per game.

Remember when Marcus Thigpen terrorized the league last season? It appears that he may just be returning to that uber-dangerous form. Thigpen had 6 catches for 139 yards and two touchdowns on Sunday and he also returned a missed field goal for a touchdown. [ad-4437448]

Toronto won last week but to say it was ugly would be a colossal understatement. The team gained just 268 yards of total offense and got just 88 yards passing from Steven Jyles – 88! It is a good thing for Corey Boyd who looked like the 2010 Corey Boyd and rumbled his way to 109 yards on 12 carries. The offense is the worst in the CFL averaging just 20.9 points per game.

Chad Owens, like Marcus Thigpen is a threat in the receiving and the return game. Owens amassed 227 yards in punt and kickoff returns last week.

Defensively, Toronto still ranks dead last and allow 400.5 yards per game.

Betting Prediction: The Toronto Argonauts go lucky last week – there is no way that they should have won. Against the league’s second best offense, Toronto is going to have to score some points, something that they appear to be incapable of. Hamilton has won five straight over the Argos and six of the last seven – the trend continues!

Pick: Hamilton Tiger-Cats -4
