With Week 17 ahead on the schedule in the NFL Regular Season a lot of things are still up in the air in terms of which teams will make it into the NFL Playoffs…

NFL Playoff Picture

With one week left in the NFL Regular Season a lot of things are still up in the air in terms of which teams will make it into the NFL Playoffs. It has been tough for sports betting fans to forecast which teams will make it to the playoffs and which teams will be left out at home to watch the games with pizza, chicken wings, and cheap beer!

Let’s stop wasting time and get to the information that NFL betting fans need in order to plan out their football betting wagers for the next few weeks!

NFL AFC Playoff Analysis

Divisional Winners: Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC North and Tennessee Titans in the AFC South. The Titans have secured home field advantage through-out the playoffs.

Divisional Winners Waiting in the Wings: The winner of the Denver Broncos vs. San Diego Chargers game becomes the winner of the AFC West with a glorious record of 8 and 8. The Broncos have collapsed and it looks like the Chargers will win the West. Not only that but San Diego already should be considered one of the top online bets in the BetUS online sportsbook this Sunday!

The Miami Dolphins win the AFC East Division if they beat the New York Jets this weekend. The New York Jets win the AFC Eat Division if they beat the Miami Dolphins and the New England Patriots lose to the Buffalo Bills. The New England Patriots win the AFC East Division if the New York Jets beat the Miami Dolphins and the Patriots beat the Bills. Yes, the Patriots could get assed out of a playoff seed with a record of 11 and 5. That would be a shame because against the BetUS online betting spread, there isn’t a better team in the AFC right now then the New England Patriots who could be on the cusp of a huge roll.

Wild-Card Teams: The Indianapolis Colts have secured the top wild card spot in the AFC by virtue of their eight game winning streak. The Baltimore Ravens control their own destiny. Should they beat the Jacksonville Jaguars at home, then the Ravens are in the AFC Playoffs. But, if the Ravens were to lose then all hell would break loose. Then, the Patriots would have the best shot should they beat the Buffalo Bills. What if the Patriots win, the Ravens lose and the Jets win? Then, believe it or not, the Jets get into the playoffs because they have a better divisional record…I think. My feeling is that the Ravens beat the Jags at home and secure the final wild-card seed. I also believe the Jets beat the Dolphins, but the Patriots beat the Bills thereby pushing the Jets out of the playoffs. The Ravens would be a nice long-shot online bet in the BetUS online sportsbook in that first game against the New England Patriots.

NFL AFC Playoff Analysis

Divisional Winners: The New York Giants have secured home field advantage throughout the playoffs by virtue of their victory over the Carolina Panthers on Sunday night. The Giants covered the 3 ½ point online betting spread but it took overtime for them to do it. The Giants are champions of the NFC East. The Carolina Panthers are champions of the NFC South. The Arizona Cardinals are champions of the NFC West.

Divisional Winner Waiting in the Wings: The Minnesota Vikings have the inside track to the NFC North Divisional title, but they’ll have to win next week in order to secure it. Minnesota plays the New York Giants at home. The best the Vikings can hope for in that game is that the Giants will rest their starters. The Vikings might be online NFL betting favorites in that game if the G-Men do rest their starters. It’s likely that New York won’t push things since they are banged up. If the Vikings lose next Sunday and the Chicago Bears beat the Green Bay Packers on Monday and then the Houston Texans next Sunday, then the Bears would win the NFC North.

Wild-card Teams: The Atlanta Falcons have secured a wildcard playoff berth by virtue of their victory over the Minnesota Vikings. But Atlanta isn’t necessarily the top wildcard seed. The Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles play a key game in Philadelphia on Sunday. If the Cowboys win, then they secure the fifth seed in the NFC Playoffs. If the Eagles win, then they have to hope that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers lose to the Oakland Raiders. If Tampa Bay wins and the Eagles win, then Tampa Bay gets in. If Tampa Bay loses and the Eagles win, then the Eagles get in. If Tampa wins and the Falcons lose, and the Cowboys lose, then Tampa gets the fourth seed and Atlanta gets the fifth seed. If Tampa Bay and Dallas lose and the Chicago Bears win on Monday and next Sunday then the Bears get the sixth seed if Minnesota wins. The Bears win the division if Minnesota loses and the Philadelphia Eagles go to the playoffs. Crazy? Yes! From an online gambling perspective, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers should beat the Raiders even though they might have trouble covering against the spread. The Philadelphia Eagles should cover a short online wagering spread against the Cowboys. So, the Bucs should probably get in.
