March Madness of College Basketball Picks is in full swing with the third round beginning this week (affectionately called the Sweet 16), here are your NCAAB Tournament Picks handicapping tips…

NCAAB Tournament Picks Sweet 16 Profit Making Tendencies

March Madness of College Basketball Picks is in full swing with the third round beginning this week (affectionately called the Sweet 16). The lack of major surprises in the second round of the NCAAB Picks tournament has now produced, for only the first time, only two teams lower than a 4 seed advancing to the Sweet 16.Purdue and #12 seeded Arizona hope to make it 23 out of 25 years that a higher than a #4 seed makes it to the Elite 8.

In addition, this is the first time that all #1, 2, and 3 seeds made it this far in the NCAA Tournament picks. This is also only the third time since the NCAAB Picks went to the 64/65 team format that all #1 and #2 seeds have made it to the final 16 teams.

If you’re looking to cash in an underdog taking a high money line in this round you might as well donate your money to a charity because outright upsets are extremely rare when giving a certain amount of points. If you believe that jumping on Xavier, Purdue, Arizona, or Gonzaga is the way to go with your NCAAB Picks think twice because sine 1998 in the Sweet 16, underdogs of more than 5 points have a straight-up record of 2-37.

If you’d rather take the high road with your NCAAB Picks and hop on the top seeds you’ll need to think twice as #1 seeds although going a stellar 32-6 SU are only 17-18 ATS.Click Here

If we look at the Major Conferences in this round of NCAAB Picks when the ACC is the higher seed, such as North Carolina and Duke are this weekend you can expect a tight defensive battle as the Under is 12-2, 85.7% the last 14 times. The Big 12 has done well straight-up as a higher seed going 13-3, (Oklahoma this year) but not as good when they are lower seed, 1-4 (Kansas and Missouri).

The Big East has a record of 8-4 SU but only 2-9 ATS as the higher-slotted team. As the lower seed is just 3-14 SU (Villanova and Syracuse this week).

The most impressive tendency that you might want to take a look at versus the number with your NCAAB picks is betting the lower-seeded team when the total is 140 or higher as it has been a very profitable 15-6 ATS since 1999.

Thank you for this betting overview as it is a great guide going into Thursday’s games.

“since 1998 in the Sweet 16, underdogs of more than 5 points have a straight-up record of 2-37.”

This is an amazing stat as upsets in this round aren’t too prevelent.
