Florida State Seminoles vs. Miami Hurricanes 7:30 PM

ACC CBB betting action continues on Wednesday night, and Bookmaker Sportsbook customers will get another chance to sink their teeth into a fantastic showdown when the Florida State Seminoles (15-3, 8-4 ATS) head down to Coral Gables to do battle with the Miami Hurricanes (13-4, 6-5 ATS). The Noles have had Miami’s number of late, winning five straight meetings outright and going 4-0-1 ATS in that stretch. Three of the last six games between these teams have gone to OT though, so another close battle could be in the cards between these Sunshine State rivals this evening.

FSU picked up its 15th scalp of the season last Saturday with a huge 76-73 win over Maryland. The Noles fell narrowly short of the four-point basketball betting line to mark their first ATS defeat since December 21st. If FSU is to snap a long drought without an NCAA Tournament birth, it will have to rely heavily on G Toney Douglas, who paces the team with 18.9 points per game. He poured in a team-high 25 against the Terps last weekend in a whopping 41 minutes of action. The Seminoles rank 58th in the country in total defense, only allowing 61.8 points per game. That number is up in ACC play though, as their three conference opponents have averaged 68 points per game on the year. FSU is 2-1 SU and ATS in ACC play, and is 7-1 SU and 5-1 ATS in games played away from the Donald L. Tucker Center.

Hurricanes bettors haven’t exactly had a banner year, but are looking to turn around a 1-4 ATS record at home and snap a three-game home ATS skid against the Noles. In their last outing, the Canes narrowly found a way to hit the backdoor in an 82-65 loss to the North Carolina Tar Heels. The loss snapped Miami’s six-game winning streak and provided a harsh reminder that an 11-2 record in non-conference play may not be indicative of just how good this team is. Though Miami ranks 66th in the country in points per game (75.1) and 68th in points allowed (62.9), its numbers in ACC play have been sub-par thus far. The Canes are just 2-2 SU and ATS, and are getting outscored by the average score of 76-69. Keep an eye on G Jack McClinton tonight, as he leads the team with 17.2 points per game.

Oddsmakers have installed the hosts as 7.5-point favorites in this ACC betting match-up with the ‘total’ set at 132.5. Don’t be afraid to take the points in this spot, as the Noles are a fabulous 8-1 ATS in their L/9 road games and 12-5-1 ATS in their L/18 overall. The road team is also 7-1-1 ATS in the L/9 in this series.

Both of these teams could be dark horses to win the NCAA title this year, as the March Madness betting odds have them both at 50-1 right now.
