Picking who wins the big game’s Most Valuable Player is always one of the most popular prop bets, and that’s certainly the case with Super Bowl XLIV, which pits the New Orleans Saints against the Indianapolis Colts at Sun Life Stadium in Miami (6:25 pm ET, CBS).

Super Bowl MVP Odds at betED.com have Colts’ QB Peyton Manning, arguably one of the best pivots in pro football history, as a big favorite to win the MVP award, at -250 moneyline odds.

New Orleans quarterback Drew Brees is next among MVP favorites at +300.

The top running backs for their respective teams – Joseph Addai of the Colts and Pierre Thomas of the Saints – are both at +800, while Indianapolis wide receiver Reggie Wayne rounds out the top five picks at +1000.

And of course, betED.com has Super Bowl Betting Odds, with Colts as a -230 moneyline, 6-point favorite and the over/under total at 56.5.

New Orleans is 3-2 SU and ATS in the past five meetings. The teams haven’t met since Sept. 6, 2007, when the Colts won 41-10 as a 5.5-point home favorite.

The Saints earned their Super Bowl berth with a 31-28 overtime win over the Minnesota Vikings, as a 4-point favorite in the NFC Championship Game.

The Colts beat the New York Jets 30-17 as a 7.5-point favorite in the AFC Championship Game.

One reply on “betED: 2010 Super Bowl MVP Odds”

In the last 10 Super Bowls a quarterback won the MVP five times, a WR won it three times, and a defensive player won it twice. I’m going out on a limb and taking TE Dallas Clark at 12/1 for my MVP pick.

A TE has never won a Super Bowl MVP award
