Quarterback Props – Super Bowl XLIII

Like most sports betting fans I am eagerly awaiting the day, which should happen very soon, when the BetUS NFL odds makers release all of the props being offered to NFL betting fans.

Right now, the only props on the BetUS online sportsbook wagering board involve the quarterbacks and running backs.

Oh, there is so much more to wager on in the Super Bowl than just quarterbacks and running backs!

But that’s what we can make football betting wagers on right now. So, let’s take a look at the quarterback props and see if there is anything worth throwing some money behind.

Best Quarterback Prop Bets in the Super Bowl

1. Ben Roethlisberger/Kurt Warner 1st pass of the game is an incompletion, +160 online betting odds – – The online odds on Big Ben and Warner to throw a completion with their first pass of the game is –200, but I like the online odds on this much more because unlike the standard idea of making a small pass to open up the game, I see both Ben and Kurt going for the home run with their first pass of the game. Both defenses, Pittsburgh’s and Arizona’s, will be expecting a short pass the first time either quarterback drops back. Why not throw it long? Throwing it long doesn’t always mean a completion. In most cases it’s an incompletion. This is a nice prop bet to make.

2. Ben Roethlisberger/Kurt Warner 1st pass of the game is a completion, -200 online betting odds – – This has to be considered the “saver” bet regarding the quarterback props. It’s a no-brainer that both of these guys have the weapons in order to get that first completion out of the way, but the defenses know that and will be ready for any short attack that the Steelers or Cardinals bring in their first offensive series.

This isn’t a terrible prop bet to make but I wouldn’t bet the farm on this. The Steelers might not even attempt a pass until their tenth or eleventh offensive play in this game. Warner and the Cardinals might just try to go to Fitzgerald with a bomb in their first passing attempt.

3. Ben Roethlisberger/Kurt Warner 1st pass of the game is an interception, +800 online betting odds – – I’d put more money behind Warner at those online wagering odds than Big Ben. Warner faces the better defense and the Steelers can confuse Kurt because the Cardinals don’t always have that safety valve while Big Ben should be able to dump down to the running back with ease. This is a flier bet and nothing more.

4. Ben Roethlisberger/Kurt Warner, total passing yards odd or even online betting odds -105 – – For most serious football betting fans, this isn’t even a real online bet. How could one possibly make a wager on this? It’s a total flier. But sometimes fliers come through. I’d go Warner even and Roethlisberger odd. Or…Roethlisberger odd and Warner even. Or…Warner and Roethlisberger even…okay, you get what I’m saying, right? If online sportsbook betting fans need another reason to watch the Super Bowl, this ridiculous prep is there.

Good Luck!
